The environment was BOHO inspired. The property was a little off the beaten path; but, if not for the Fla heat you could actually walk to everything in Historic downtown. The property is secluded and quite. Perfect spot to relax and also catch up on some reading. LOVED IT. If you bring a bottle of wine you may have a hard time finding the cork screw but once you do its awesome and so is the kitchen sink.
Overall great property. It’s a very old home but tons of character! We loved the decor and the art work of the home. It’s on a quite busy street only downside. It’s within 5/10mins tops to everything in downtown St. Augustine/beaches which was awesome.
We absolutely Loved this home and can't wait to come back.... So peaceful and Beautiful!!!

The place is such a wonderful surprise the decor the used of the spaces, the bathroom the kitchen everything is perfect, sadly for us we went during a cold front so we didn’t enjoy the backyard and the bar as much, the backyard is beautiful I can wait to come back, very closed to downtown
Perfect, peaceful, beautiful, everything I was looking for to celebrate my birthday with a weekend getaway. I honestly can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. We arrived on Friday and didn’t leave until checkout on Sunday. We had everything we needed here.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! We loved hosting you and are so glad you enjoyed your stay!
The house was tranquil and beautifully decorated. There were a few household issues amiss, but they were quickly and easily remedied. Communication was excellent. Easy to get into town and grocery stores. All in all, a great retreat!
Lovely and unique property with lots of wonderful hidden design details and gems. Pool had not been cleaned (lots of leaves) but the outdoor space was welcoming and beautiful. Very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Would recommend - be mindful it is located on a busy road.
I wish I could rate this home more than five stars! We spent our family Christmas here and had the most amazing experience. The house is stunning-a true getaway oasis that feels both luxurious and comfortable. Beautiful personal touches throughout the house. This is officially the only place I’ll stay when visiting St. Augustine. Loved, loved, loved everything about it!
Property & rental as advertised. My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Weather was a little cooler during our stay so we could not enjoy the patio, pool, & shed. House is comfortable & clean! Kitchen has all of the necessities to cook a good meal. Convenient to travel to Anastasia State Park (recommended), Jacksonville Zoo, & Kennedy Space Center. Murf's Homestyle cooking & Bea's Fine Foods are worth checking out... We will be back in the future.
Sorry we did not write in your book,we had to catch an early plane and forgot.Your property was great and we really enjoyed it even though the temperatures did not cooperate, thanks for having us.Jeff
Fantastic stay. I couldnt have asked for a better experience for myself & dog for the week (and family for the night). The detail, charm & thought put into this home & property made a perfect retreat away. From the eclectic and unique decor and bluesy poetic vibe inside, to the serene oasis outside. Will be a repeat & hopelly annual tradition to treat myself. Hosts were fantasic from pre visit, to post stay/follow ups. Thank you!
Immaculately clean and delightfully charming. The Host was supereasy to communicate with and extremely responsive. Pool and backyard was also clean, secluded and well thought out - with an added bonus of a screened Tiki bar. Oh and can't miss mentioning the fabulous volvanic rainforest master bathroom!
What an oasis! My cousin and I traveled to St. Augustine for the Sing Out Loud Festival. This gorgeous retreat was a beautiful spot for long talks and lots of laughs. Beds are comfortable, water pressure great, warm/hot water made for great showers. The home is well apportioned for a weekend stay. The home is close to the old city which made for easy ubering for the concert. We hope to return annually. Thank you again!

This rental does not sleep 3 couples comfortably. Only 2 beds inside the house. My husband and I were forced to sleep in a shed that smelled bad for two nights. Pool was cold.

The listing for our home is transparent, gives explicit detail, and has photos that support the details. The listing very vividly describes that one of the bedrooms is a detached bedroom. That room offers many amenities, including a coffee maker, a refrigerator, heating, AC, and a TV. It is not a shed, it is an actual bedroom that has a queen size bed which fits two adults very comfortably. The pool is heated. It reaches the temperature of 80°, which is normal for a Florida pool. It’s a pool, not a hot tub, which is also very clear on the property listing. I’m sorry that you did not seem to enjoy your stay however, I’m very disappointed in the lack of communication during your stay to express any concerns you had and in leaving a review that reads as if our listing were misleading in any way.
Came for a mother-daughter weekend for house hunting and total decompression. This home more than delivered. Even my dogs were in zen mode. The decor was charming, decorated for Christmas, trees and all. The backyard was utopia at its finest. Although it was too cold for relaxing in the water we relaxed out back and enjoyed the water sounds while sipping wine. The home had everything you could need. The beds were like sleeping on could. The bathrooms were like another haven. Location was stellar and the idea of sleeping in a 100 year old home was like a bucket list experience. Thank you Matt and Nichole for your warm hospitality and sharing your eclectic home.

We call Saint Augustine "home" but we bought and renovated this home to allow us the freedom to travel, which is our true passion. When we aren't traveling or here, taking advantage of the pool and relaxing, we're out in Gainesville working on the family farm.
Why they chose this property
We love Saint Augustine and being close to all it has to offer. The culture is still rich, but has the modern convinces and trendy things we love to explore. Being able to walk or uber downtown is what drew us to this house and neighborhood.
What makes this property unique
Although it's a 100+ year old home, we've tried our best to merge history and modern. We also want our guest to feel "at home" when here, so we renovated and decorated in a way that was unique to us. We love plants, water, nature, and relaxing. We wanted a peaceful place outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. We consider out home an oasis outside with the pool, jungle, and relaxing patio. We also have a space for entertaining in the back with our pirate dive bar, again bringing in elements of the historic city around us. Inside, we want d to still feel tranquil and relaxed, so we kept with the plant and nature them, the dark colors, and natural elements.
