Historic colonial, a short walk to downtown and the beaches!
This historic home has modern amenities coupled with original flooring and exposed beams from the 1800s. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the gadgets you might need, and the rest of the house is furnished in a way that will make you feel right at home! The backyard features 2 decks and an outdoor shower, and is fully fenced in with latching gates, creating a private oasis. It is walking distance to downtown shopping, restaurants, and the beaches!
Be aware that the upstairs has low ceilings, just under 7 ft, with a vaulted ceiling in the master bedroom and bath. The basement is not finished but has an additional seating area with a smart TV, game area, and laundry station.
Seasonally, you can enjoy yard games such as cornhole and badmitton, or lay back in the hammock and relax. There are 2 kayaks available upon request, but you must have a way to transport them to the launch area (less than a mile away).

Stayed here for our annual girls trip and we had a great stay. House was clean and had all the amenities we could need. Short drive to the beach and into town. Very happy with this place and all it had to offer!
Check-in was very easy, kitchen was well stocked with basics, lots of towels and toiletries. Perfect space and location for our family weekend. Great host recommendations for places to visit as well!

Thank you for your review Hannah! We would be happy to host you anytime!
Lovely detached house close to beach and other interesting places to visit. There was plenty of space for 4 adults, a five year old and a toddler. We loved the reclining lounge chairs and having 2 full bathrooms. Aircon was great too.
An amazing location, beautiful home with everything you could need! We had a fantastic time and the hosts were amazing! When we inquired about propane for the grill, they even graciously brought an extra tank to us in case we needed it. So thankful to them for providing such an incredible home. If this home is available, book it!!!! Amazing!
Beautiful house , extremely clean, comfortable and sunny . Everything we needed was there . Walk to shops , woods for easy hiking and the beach . We will definitely be back !
The home was exceedingly clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was clear the owners have worked hard to create an atmosphere of welcome and a place where all can gather without difficlty. It was close to town and they left menus and other info on local eateries and amenities in the area.

About the host
Hosted by Bryan Robinson
My wife and I are home improvement enthusiasts and want others to enjoy the love and care we put into our properties. She is a CT native and I moved here from Nebraska several years ago. We both love Niantic and want others to experience the history and charm of this quaint beach town.
Why they chose this property
Niantic is a village in the town of East Lyme. Sidewalks make everything accessible by foot, and if you choose to drive, there is plenty of parking downtown. The people are welcoming and friendly, and there is no shortage of places to visit and things to do. There are many restaurants and boutique shops, outdoor dining on the water, and multiple beaches connected by the boardwalk. Be sure to visit the Bookbarn during your stay! It is a hidden gem!
What makes this property unique
This house was built in 1840 and retains many of the original characteristics. There are exposed wooden beams, original wallpaper in the closets, and original hardwood floors in a few rooms. The sun decks and outdoor shower make for a great summer oasis away from the bustle of downtown. Yet it is just a short walk away from shops, restaurants and the beaches! The house is stocked with books, games, and everything you will need to feel at home. In the summer, there are yard games, beach chairs, and a garden that you are welcome to pick from. We love to host, so if there are any amenities that would make your stay better, please just ask! We regularly make upgrades to the property and value guest feedback.
