This Ocean front complex has 2 heated pools with spa's and 2 tennis courts with recreation center. Our single level condo has new appliances (7/12) and the kitchen is fully equipped including a gas BBQ on the patio. The Master Bedroom has a King Bed (new 7/17) and 50" flat screen TV, BR#2 has 2 Full beds and BR#3 has a Queen Bed (new 7/17). We have extra mattresses available. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms There are 2 reserved parking spaces in secure garage and plenty of convenient street parking. WI FI and a Digital Video Recorder for the 60' flat screen TV. Family room has new furniture July '15.

Walking distance to many restaurants, bars, health club, park, drug store, Coaster train and the Del Mar Race Track. Von's, Sprouts, Whole Foods and Haggan's are apprx. 1.5 miles away. CVS Pharmacy less than a half mile away. The popular Cedros Design District is a short walk away.

Very Disappointed (Dirty Exterior, damp smells, dated linen, clostrophobic location)

On arrival was disappointed with the position of the apartment, it was on a busy road and woke us up most mornings. THere were tall trees inbetween which made the property dark and too shady for the California experience. The front area was unclean ( even after speaking to the owner to get it sorted I had to clean myself and actually swept up someone elses hair) the table and chairs for the BBQ were rusty and unusable, not that we would want to sit out their as it was too clostrophobic. On entering the property there was a smell of damp. However the apartment was very nice and had been updated with lovely floors and new bathrooms which were really nice. All the rooms felt damp but it was the third bedroom that had an awful smell. It came from 2nd hand furniture along side the damp, hence we could not use in their the first few nights. We did everything I could to get rid of the smell (even bought laundry sheets to put in the drawers. We could not use the drawers. I called the owner to let him know about the third bedroom, the front being very dirty and the place smelling of damp only to be met with a defience manner and he had no clue of the issues. He also told me in a very abrupt way that we 'could vacate the property today'. I would have if we could have afforded it. I used the dehumidifier which filled up very quickly. It put a significant 'damper' on our Holiday. I also had to purchase new pillows as they felt damp and had seen better days/as did the towels, sheets and bedlinen. Over all not a great experience. If I was to give it any ups it was the kitchen , dining and sitting room oh and the bathrooms (however the fan in the main bedroom bathroom was covered with hanging dust) I would not stay there again.

Owner's Response: We are disappointed to see this review after always only having very positive experiences with all of our other tenants and keeping lines of communication very open with all of our other tenants. In response, we have our condo professionally cleaned; and, immediately offered to send the cleaning service back to take care of any cleanliness issues on the patio the tenants had, but they told us they declined this offer, and had taken care of it. We have a full size picnic table and lights outside on our patio, for dining when barbecuing. This table is spacious, plastic and metal and not rusted. I do not know why these tenants did not see nor use that table outside. Their is an extra small table that these tenants may be mentioning, that is not under cover and by no means is the eating table. When they made us aware they felt it was damp in the back bedroom, we wanted to check it out for them. We offered to send our cleaning lady to check on it, as well as, calling the tenants immediately before them, to inquire if they had noticed any dampness, and both parties informed us they saw no problems with the dampness. We even sent over a contractor with a dampness meter to check the area professionally, and he found their was no excessive dampness. We offered to wave our cancellation policy and allow them to move out and find other accommodations with a full refund for the rest of their stay. We also told them their was a de- humidifier in the condo that they could place in the area they were concerned about. Granted, the moisture in the air is consistent with any unit in an ocean front complex. We're sorry to hear, now, that this experience was what it was for these tenants. We always do our best to accommodate our guests and communicate as much as they like, to help create a very enjoyable vacation for them.

Beautiful, convenient location!

Our family of five rented this gorgeous property for our Spring Break and couldn't have been more pleased. Right next to main street parking, tennis courts and the pool - this clean, updated home was perfect for us. It is a short walk to the beach and withing walking distance to shops, restaurants, and dog beach - which is so much fun! The home, particularly the kitchen, was well appointed with everything one could need. We would gladly stay here again - it helped make for a perfect vacation!

Great seascape getaway.

This is a very nice property, well maintained and in a great location. Parking is very accessible and the owner/mgt. very professional. Very well equipped with everything you need. Definitely would go back.

Lovely and relaxing vacation

We spent the week after Christmas in this lovely condo with our adult children and two young grandsons. We appreciated that the condo was on a single level and enjoyed the large front porch and gas grill, which we used to grill steaks one evening. The children loved playing with bubbles on the porch. The condo is bright, spacious and nicely decorated. We liked the saltillo tile floors as it was easy to sweep up beach sand. The washer and dryer were great with two little ones! The complex pool and tennis courts were enjoyed as well as daily excursions to see the fish ponds and of course the beach. This unit is close to exceptionally convenient street parking but very quiet. David was very responsive to questions and returned our deposit quickly. We would highly recommend this vacation rental.

Great Solana Beach location

We stayed with our family and another which included adults, toddlers and babies. The condo is in a great location. Lots to do within walking distance, close to street parking, Fletcher Cove Park, beach access, lots of restaurants, drugstores/grocery shopping. The stairs to the beach were a little hard for us to maneuver with beach gear, toddlers and babies, but it was easy to hop in the car and only a short drive to many great beaches with parking both in Solana Beach and Del Mar. The condo itself was clean, well stocked with very nice recently updated kitchen and bathrooms. The patio area was perfect for relaxing, barbecuing and for kids to play in the enclosed and safe area. Loved it and would highly recommend!
