Thanks for stay with us, will love to have you guys again.10/10
Our host, Enmanuel was quick to respond to our questions and needs. The rental was very nice inside, each bedroom and community area had beautiful hardwood floors, smart TV’s, and its own system to regulate temperature. The modern compact kitchen had an excellent full size gas stove and refrigerator! The stylish bathroom was supplied with shampoo, conditioner, liquid soaps and TP. It’s a short walk to Union College, St Anthony’s RC church, various stores, restaurants, casinos, and the peaceful Erie Canal Trail that is great for walking, running, or cycling on. Also a quick to Downtown Schenectady and across the bridge to neighboring Scotia & Glenville stores and establishments. We would stay here again!

Liked: Cleanliness, communication
Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Overall i have to say the experience i had was mixed. The host was very nice, the apartment was very nice, and the overall experience i cannot say was terrible. However, i had to message the host to get instructions for check-in the night before arriving, since i did never received any information ahead of time. When i got to the apartment there were 2 lock boxes and one opened but had no key inside, the other would not open. I messaged the host who had the cleaner drop the keys off for me. Upon going inside, 2 of the 3 bedrooms were found to be locked and i was unable to open them. I messaged the host who, again was very polite and was quick to respond to any problems or questions that i had, and the response was since it was only booked for 1 person only 1 bedroom would be open for use. Again, not a big deal but that was not disclosed to me when I booked the property. When paying for the whole apartment it seemed strange to not be able to use the whole apartment. Also, after sleeping on the bed for 1 night it was quite uncomfortable and it would have been nice to be able to try out the other beds as well (when i asked the host if that was a possibility i was told all the beds were exactly the same) so I guess it really wouldn't have mattered that much. There was also a cleaning fee, stay tax, service fee, and property damage protection that were all additional to the cost of the stay when the listing said all fees were included when I booked the property.
The property was very clean and comfortable. If you see the Google map picture, disregard it, as the property has been wonderfully redone.I did have some issues during the stay. The back stairs are both narrow and short. It was not easy getting luggage in that way and I and my daughter had to duck when we left (6'3" and 5'10").I was there for 5 days and there was only one bath towel provided per bedroom and only one hook in the bathroom for a towel to dry. So, that might be an issue for when it's more than one person in the group. The beds are very soft, which I loved; but, I know that isn't everyone's favorite. The worst part was the upstairs tenant. I don't know if it was a resident, a short time leaser like me, but as it's an older house you can hear every footstep taken above and this guy was walking the floors til 3:00 a.m. the first night and 1:30 a.m. the next. Definitely was not a fan of that.
Recently remodeled and very nice inside. The off street parking was great and the location is close to downtown Schenectady and the Amtrak stop. At check in, one of the bedrooms we needed was locked and upon reaching out to the owner it's because I accidentally left the number of occupants at the defaulted 2 when booking. After paying for the additional occupant the owner had the keys sent over for the other bedroom. Very fast communication and owner was immediately helpful when we had a problem with the Wi-Fi. The only downside is the neighborhood itself; it's very rundown with vacant homes in disrepair. Looks like some of them are in the process of being remodeled though and the street was quiet all night. Not sure I'd feel safe walking at night through the area.
