Welcome to our cozy log cabin — the perfect couple’s retreat with access to all-sports Round Lake. Just 25 mins to Ludington & Lake Michigan! Take a quick 3-minute stroll to the water where you can paddle board, enjoy the pedal boat, fish, or hunt nearby. Back at the cabin, unwind by the firepit, lounge in the hammock, enjoy meals on the porch with the grill or enjoy movies and games inside. The cabin sleeps up to 3 with a full bed and pull-down sofa for 1-2 children.

- Hunting Adventures: Just under 40 minutes away, explore McDuffee Creek Nature Preserve and Richmond Woods Nature Preserve for seasonal hunting.
- Explore Ludington: Only 20 minutes to downtown Ludington — enjoy vibrant restaurants, boutique shopping, sandy beaches, historic lighthouses, and more!
- Snowmobiling: There are great snowmobiling trails just north of our cabins in Free Soil.
- Little Manistee and Big Manistee rivers are 30 minutes northwest of the cabin.

PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BOOKING: As many lake homes and cabins, we are on well water which tends to have a more sulfuric smell. Our cabin is professionally cleaned. Please also note that this cabin is 500 square feet and is intended for couples or maximum 2 adults and one small child.

The cabin is very cute and quaint! The description fairly describes how small it is, with the only bedroom being a Double Bed, plus a pullout sofa bed in the living room. Would only be advised for small-sized couples or a solo traveler. For guests booking with intentions to utilize Lake Michigan, it’s worth reminding that it’s 30min drive, not necessarily “minutes to Lake MI” as written in property title, in my opinion. We utilized the pedal boat which was simple, but fun. To my knowledge, life jackets were not available on site, FWIW. Grill on the porch worked great for dinner. Cutting board was not available.

Overall we had a good stay at the cabin. We stayed to be close to Ludington and it was an easy short drive. Check in was easy and it was in a nice safe location. I will note that the well water does smell like rotten eggs which was off putting. Also another thing just to note is the space is small. My husband and I are both under 5”7’ and the bed, bathroom and couch were a tight squeeze. The fridge can only be a refrigerator or a freezer but not both at the same time. There was a nice firepit with chairs and there is a tv with streaming. We are pretty easy going so these things didn’t ruin our trip but just things some might want to know ahead of time.

I am so glad you had a great stay! We're happy you felt it was a 5 star clean. We do mention in the listing that the cabin is 500 square feet. With most all lake cabins we are on well water which tends to have a more sulfuric smell then typical public water. I'm glad you enjoyed it overall and had a good time in Ludington!

It’s a decent cabin I’m a wide body so a little cramped for me. The bed was great comfortable and clean . The living area was comfortable. The hostess explained everything in detail therefore no issues with check - in or out.

Back inside the cabin you have a fully stocked kitchen, coffee maker, comfy bed and linens, welcome snacks, and a complimentary starter supply of essentials including paper towel, soaps, trash bags, spices and more.
