Welcome to Lou's Cottage! 🏡
If you're looking for a cozy and relaxing getaway in Northern Michigan, consider renting our lake cottage on Big Star Lake in Baldwin.
Our charming cottage sleeps up to six people (2 bedrooms, 1 pull out couch) making it perfect for families or friends. A full size kitchen & laundry room are available for your use during your stay. You also have access to the beach and we are located just a mile from the boat launch.
In the summer enjoy swimming, fishing, boating, and kayaking on the beautiful Big Star Lake. 🌊🐠🚤  After a full day on the water, take a walk through the cute little neighborhood in the woods and cozy up around the fire.
While in the fall & winter, you can visit the nearby Pere Marquette River for fishing and the Manistee National forrest for hunting, ATV & snowmobile trails, hiking, biking and so much more!
Located just 45 mins from Ludington, 1 1/2 hrs from Traverse City and an 1 1/2 from Grand Rapids!

Excellent stay. Place was very clean well provided. We really loved taking our daily walk. Beach and water area was beautiful, sandy and clean. Great communication with Cindi, as she was very prompt to answer any questions. I highly recommed this property for rental. Hopefully we can come back next year for another return here. Summer 2025

The host was great. Well equipped, clean, cozy cabin. Nice sandy beach with access right across the street. Grandkids enjoyed the water immensely. The porch was a nice bonus that we used a lot. The grandkids enjoyed watching the chipmunks squirrels raccoons and the birds from the porch. We even saw a red fox out behind the house. The Wi-Fi is excellent as well. I would stay here again!
