"My family and I had a most wonderful, relaxing week at this cottage. The beach was amazing with clear, fresh water. We swam everyday, multiple times. It was great to be just a few steps from the beach. The lake bottom was sandy. The property is quiet and secluded. The views of the lake from inside the cottage were great. When the weather was clear, there were spectacular sunsets over the lake. There is a nice, large firepit area with chairs and benches. The night it rained we had a fire in the fireplace, very cozy. The master bedroom has lake views and patio access. The property is close to dune filled state parks and smaller inland lakes. It is also close to a newly paved state biking trail through fruit orchards. Nearby Hart has a new brewpub. We went to two wineries within twenty minutes. The kitchen has an open design with views of the lake and is fully stocked for cooking with a full sized stove/oven and full sized refrigerator. The owner was a delight to meet and was available to answer questions before and during our stay. We were able to get cellular service at the cottage when needed, but it was fantastic to be unplugged for the week. If you like to fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves, this is the place!"

  • Relaxing week for the family!

"For starters the owners were very responsive in answering our questions about what to expect when we arrived! There were no surprises and it exceeded our expectations. The cottage was very clean, with good bedding, and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Gas Grill was full of gas and the Weber Charcoal Grill was perfect for a smoked pork shoulder. The parking area is HUGE so you can take your boats and sand toys and not wonder where you will park your stuff. The lake is peaceful and great fishing from the dock and around the lake. Nice sandy beach and sandy weed free swimming area. The water is warm and very clean - NOT clogged with weeds. Perfect size lake for skiing, tubing, and other water sports. Great place to make family memories, we are planning on coming back next year! Thanks John and Amy for a great vacation."

  • Wonderful place and location

"The log cabin was absolutely wonderful. It was clean and homey. We loved that it was actually close enough to the dune to walk! Our only suggestion would be to add wifi and cable television. But we realize that without this technology it actually make you spend valuable family time around the fire pit, rocking on the front porch, or playing games which we really enjoyed. Thank you for a wonderful time. We will definitely be back."

  • Location, convenience & comfort

"We really enjoyed our stay at this property! We have a large family (8 adults, 7 children) and this cottage fit everyone very comfortably. It's rare to find a place right on Lake Michigan with direct beach access (no steep staircases!). It was nice to be able to go back and forth from the cottage to the beach throughout the day, especially with 2 babies in our family. We enjoyed having the creek nearby for fishing, and although most of the beach on Lake Michigan has eroded in recent years, we had plenty of space to setup camp (many of the nearby cottages didn't have as much beach space as this place did). The sunsets on the deck were incredible. We would absolutely rent this place again."
