  • Great place to stay at Silver Lake!

"Great people to do business with, and Dan is very helpful. Accommodations are clean and well kept. Beds are comfortable and kitchen has the essentials for preparing meals. Very nice to have the shower house and separate bathroom. Location is excellent for being very near Silver Lake but in a quiet neighborhood and not in an overcrowded campground. We will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great, affordable place to stay in the area. Silver Lake and the surrounding area is a great place to get away! Beautiful scenery and plenty of activities for all ages."

  • Can't beat the amazing location!

"My husband and I stayed here for a week in July 2016. The best part of our stay was the private beach access, where you can easily walk to the lighthouse, explore the dunes, or just set up camp for a day at the beach. The view is also amazing; from the yard you can look out onto the lake - perfect for watching sunsets and boats passing by, all while you read, grill, and relax outdoors. The beach is very private, and while you may encounter other beach-goers, we had no trouble finding large stretches just to ourselves - perfect for swimming, flying a kite, and of course, sitting under an umbrella just watching the waves. Clear nights are perfect for stargazing and watching the lights of passing ships before bed. The cabin itself is rustic; the photos are representative of what you get. When we got there, it was clean and ready, with a nice note from the owners. Andrew was very responsive before and after our stay. His uncle also stopped by the day after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. The small rooms, uncomfortable furniture, and extreme heat when the cabin is in direct sunlight means that you won't want to spend much time inside. Fortunately, the weather was perfect and there's plenty to enjoy outside (be sure to bring a beach umbrella for some shade). The owners supplied some fans and if you keep the doors open, you'll enjoy a nice breeze in the mornings and evenings. The screen doors and windows are in need of repair, meaning moths and other insects will find their way in at night. The bathroom is small but functional - just don't expect any long, hot showers and the toilet can be temperamental. The bedroom could use shades or curtains that fully cover the windows; we hung a towel over the window so that we weren't exposed to the house next door. Given the complete lack of cell service at the cabin, and only spotty service in town, WiFi would have been nice for checking weather, if emergency, car trouble, etc. All that aside, this is a nice little cabin that we would recommend to anyone who can come with an open mind and isn't expecting luxury; we had a great time! The nearby town has a number of family-friendly activities, but there are plenty of adult-friendly spots like: - The Fox Barn Winery - Big Hart Brewing Co - Wave Club Water Sports - The Whippy Dip (for kids and adults alike) Although the cabin is certainly on the rustic side, it makes for a great secluded getaway with a view and beach that can't be beat!"

  • A beautiful, peaceful spot for all ages

"Because of the collection of cabins, a group of any size can be accommodated. Our entire family (cousins, parents, and grandchildren) spent a week on Silver Lake with no complaints! There is plenty to do for everyone, the community is friendly and safe, and the cabins themselves are comfortable and well-stocked with everything we needed. There is a range in how "finished" each of the spaces are; we stayed in Persnickety, Wuzgonna, and Bugaboo, and the first two are as complete as any house or hotel room. Bugaboo is more rustic like a camping cabin, but still complete with dishes and supplies. It is a good idea to check out the surrounding area or ideas for daytrips before you go; there are so many options for spending your time, and you may not be able to access the internet there. At first, we were frustrated because the WiFi does not work well by the lake (for smart phones - laptops were fine), but once we got used to that fact, it became part of why our stay was so restful. We definitely plan to return."

  • Great Location!

"My family recently stayed at this house. I believe everyone was comfortable and had a great time. The location is great! Very close to Lake Michigan, (just a walk down the street), and just a short drive into Silver Lake and Pentwater. Seems just as advertised."
