Our house is located in the southwest part of Lake Keowee on a deep water cove in a no wake zone, providing a quiet setting for relaxing next to the water. Gas for your boat is just around the bend in the lake. We are conveniently just minutes from Seneca, grocery stores, shopping and restaurants.

Lake Keowee is about 18,500 acres of beautiful clean, clear water. At about 26 miles long and max 3 miles wide, it has more than 300 miles of shoreline with many islands and quiet coves for you to explore. Unlike other lakes in our area, Lake Keowee's water levels are maintained year round. If you don't have a boat you can rent one from Lake Keowee Marine in Seneca. (Make your reservations ahead of time).

The area is surrounded by 1,000's of acres of protected land, with six state parks and the Appalachian Mountains within sight, providing many hiking trails and outdoor activities. Clemson University is minutes away, offering sporting and cultural events for you to enjoy.

About Dave and Susan Smith

The owners, Dave and Susan Smith and their children, Andrew and Sarah, welcome you to the Serenity Bay! We recently purchased our Lake house in June of 2013, and are excited to share it with you. Dave is a system's analyst and Susan is a fourth grade teacher in Cincinnati, Ohio. Andrew works in Indianapolis and Sarah is a graduate student in architecture at the University of Cincinnati. We enjoy biking and boating and the all around relaxation we get at the lake.

Why Dave and Susan Smith chose Seneca

We have been coming to Lake Keowee for the past 17 years to visit Dave's parents who retired here, but are now moving to Florida. We have so many fond family memories of our days at the lake, and wanted to get a place of our own to continue the tradition.

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with Lake Keowee because of its beauty and the activities that the nearby area offers. We chose our house because of it's quintessential lake house feel, with many modern comforts and upgraded finishes.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Your home is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. It was the perfect choice for us. The house is very well equipped for a rental home....I have never rented a vacation home with such a wonderfully stocked kitchen! I am a little of a clean fanatic as well and your home was spotless! Not having to bring our own kayaks was a very nice perk as well. All in all it provided for a wonderful quick getaway long weekend for us. The weather was great also and it is cooler (and mosquito free) than it is for us in Charleston so that was a nice break. Thank you. Our daughter goes to Clemson so if we are ever in need of a rental home for visits/ football games we will definately choose your home again.

Beautiful Lake House to Celebrate our Daughter's Graduation

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in this beautiful home on Lake Keowee while celebrating our daughter's graduation from Clemson University. The house has all the comforts of home and was the perfect size for our extended family and friends. It was very clean, well equipped and the beds were all very comfortable. The views to the lake were great and we even utilized the kayaks that came with the house despite it being December and a little chilly! The owners were great to work with and we would definitely select this lake house again on another trip to Clemson.

Family memories that will last a lifetime

  • 5 of 5

Our family chose this beautiful lake home as our Christmas destination for 2016. From its quaint log cabin feel to all the amenities of your very own home this lake home was exactly what our family received. Enjoying our morning coffee on the huge porch balcony and relaxing around the fantastic fire pit in the evenings set the mood for our tranquil getaway. Our family was able to take nature walks around the community that our children will remember forever. We would recommend this destination for anyone that wants to get away from their busy lives as you will return being completely rejuvenated. Thank you so very much to the owners as we had great communication throughout the entire process of booking, planning, staying and returning home.

Great Lake House!

  • 5 of 5

Everything you need to enjoy the beautiful lake views was included in this house. We enjoyed Thanksgiving and a football weekend. The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking, the lake views were awesome, and the weather was nice enough for us to all enjoy the kayaks. Plenty of space for everyone to find their spot. I would definitely recommend this cozy and inviting house.

This house was so nice and in excellent condition. My family rented this house for a Clemsonfootball game and it was perfect. Only about 20 minutes from campus so it was easy to get to and from the game. Family friendly layout! We definitely plan to rent in the future! Susan, the owner, was so nice and helpful with any questions that we had! Thanks again for such a great easy stay!

Wish we had more time!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home, albeit too short. The spacious house, comfortable furnishings, rustic décor, varied outdoor space and lake location were great. We were initially surprised to see that the homes were so close together; the pictures do not show just how close the properties are on both sides. Nonetheless, it was very quiet and peaceful. Lake Keowee is absolutely beautiful! We spent the majority of the time on the water! We did find the beds to be too firm for our liking. (One suggestion may be to leave a memory foam mattress topper in the closet for those who prefer a softer bed.) The checkout time seemed a bit early (10am/3pm check-in), given we only had 2 days at the lake. This probably isn't as much an issue for a longer stay rental, but if time is so limited, a later checkout would be desirable. I think this could have been pre-arranged, but not time I will ask! Susan was very responsive to questions we had. Other than spending most of our time out on the water, we did venture out one night and grabbed a really good pizza & salad at Joe's NY Pizza. I definitely would recommend this property!
