Black Butte Ranch `Trip House` On the Golf Course

Thank you for your interest in `Trip House`, which was named by the owner`s (Ensley/McGuire) youngest great-granddaughter. Whether you`re looking for a peaceful retreat to get away from it all or to have a fun getaway with your friends or family, the `Trip House` is the perfect place.

As stated above, the house sits right on the 16th hole of the Big Meadow Golf Course. It is a multilevel 4 bedrooms/3bath home. 3 decks, two at the front of the house and one at the back. It is 1 mile to Roberts Pub and the Big Meadow Golf Course Club House, sand volleyball, basketball courts, and tennis courts. There are 5 pools to choose from at the ranch, the closest to the `Trip House` being less than a mile is the Paulina pool. This pool is a walk-in or bike-in pool only, with no parking. Bring your book and just relax - we call it `The quiet pool`. Lodge pool has the Lakeside Bistro and a breathtaking view of the 3 Sisters all 1.25 miles from the `Trip House`. The biggest pool is the Glaze Meadow pool with a fun splash pad, indoor and outdoor pool, and workout facility, it is about 3 miles away. If you are looking for some adventure there are some beautiful lakes with hiking trails within a 10-minute drive, Suttle Lake and Scout Lake. Wintertime fun with skiing and tubing at Hoodo Ski Resort.

The recreational opportunities at the Ranch are limitless. On January 1, 2024 Black Butte Ranch added a resort fee. For 2026 this fee is 13.5% of the nightly rate and is inside that price. We collect and remit it to the ranch on your behalf.

A guest has access to the entire home except for an owner`s closet.

Black butte ranch has a bike rental shop at Glaze Meadow pool or you might like to bring your own. (There are a couple of bikes in the garage (no helmets) that you may ride if you want but at your own risk. They are older bikes that may need some attention, so it is not something you should count on using. If you do please be careful of where you park them at the ranch, so as to not have them stolen. No locks are on them.

Parking at the house is on the driveway only - no street parking. This house has a large space for cars and you can also block the driveway so that the kids can ride their bikes safely in the paved parking area. You may also use the garage. There is one taxi company in Sisters and possibly some Uber or Lift drivers.

The `Trip House` Certificate of Authority to collect Transient Room Tax is #1437.

There are a few housekeeping items we ask you to do prior to departure to help with the turnover of the home. (especially in the Summer) One being that you have the pool towels washed and dried and put back in the closet. Housekeeping suggests you do that the night prior to departure. If you`d like to bring your own towels you are welcome to do that also.

The only people that should be in the house are the ones that are registered and on the reservation. For example, if you have 6 guests, only 6 guests are allowed at the house. This house sleeps 12, so if more decide to join you, please let us know that you will have guests over for visit.

We have security cameras installed at the front door of the house (on the golf course side) and in the driveway. However, once you arrive, our notifications are turned off, or the cameras are disabled entirely to ensure your privacy. These cameras are primarily in place for monitoring winter weather and when the house is unoccupied.
- The property shall not be used by more than the number of adults and children listed in your reservation. All guests shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. outside. The responsible renter must be at least 25 years of age. NO PARTIES. No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere on the premises. Renter is liable for any damage to the property should damage occur during occupancy. In Winter if we feel the driveway needs a plow, we may add an additional $100 prior to your arrival. We would communicate first as to your vehicle type.
