Fjellsangin is located on historic Mount Tahoma Canyon Road East, affectionately known as “The Old Road”—the original wagon trail leading into Mount Rainier National Park. Today, this quiet, forested stretch offers a peaceful setting just minutes from the Nisqually entrance and the scenic Paradise area.

Nestled in the small mountain town of Ashford, Washington, Fjellsangin is close to a handful of locally loved spots. Just a short walk away, you’ll find Paradise Village, a Ukrainian-owned restaurant and bakery known for its handmade pierogi, borscht, and honey cake. Other nearby favorites include Wildberry Restaurant (Himalayan mountain cuisine), Copper Creek Inn (comfort food and famous berry pie), and BaseCamp Grill for casual bites and live music on weekends.

Nature lovers will find endless inspiration—from the Longmire Historic District to Myrtle Falls and the wildflower meadows of Paradise. In winter, the area offers snowshoeing, sledding, and cozy forest views.

Guests have full, private access to the entire cabin and all outdoor spaces, including the cedar sauna, hot tub, firepit, furnished deck, and BBQ grill. Inside, you’ll have use of the gourmet kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer, coffee and tea bar, and thoughtfully designed living and sleeping areas.

You’ll also have private on-site parking and access to an EV charger.

Please note: The owner’s closet and linen supply closet are locked and not available for guest use. All other areas and amenities are yours to enjoy.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric range, dishwasher, and high-quality cookware. A large island with bar seating serves as the dining area—ideal for shared meals, coffee chats, or evening wine.

Coffee & Tea Bar
Just around the corner from the kitchen, a built-in coffee and tea bar offers a rotating selection of local blends, herbal teas, and guest favorites. It’s a thoughtful touch for slow mornings and post-hike rituals.

Primary Bedroom
Located on the main floor, the primary bedroom features a king-sized bed, soft linens, ambient lighting, and forest-facing windows. A grounding space made for deep rest.

Upstairs Bedroom
The second private bedroom features a king-sized bed, vaulted ceilings, and warm wood finishes, providing a peaceful retreat under the trees.

Loft
An open loft with a queen-sized sofa bed and lounge chair provides additional sleeping or lounging space. It overlooks the living area below and is filled with soft, natural light.

Bathrooms
There are two full bathrooms, one on each floor—each featuring a large walk-in shower, plush towels, spa-inspired toiletries, and luxury robes to enhance your stay.

The cabin is easily accessed year-round via State Route 706 (Paradise Road), with on-site parking and an EV charger available for guest use.

The nearest major airport is Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), approximately 1 hour 45 minutes by car. Portland International Airport (PDX) is also a popular option, about 2 hours 15 minutes away by car.

Fjellsangin is a design-forward, adults-only retreat ideal for couples or small groups of friends. While we warmly welcome restorative weekends and celebratory getaways, the space is not suitable for children, events, or parties.

To maintain a peaceful experience and preserve the integrity of the space, pets and smoking are not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 fee will apply for violations.
