Why Amelia Chavez chose Ashford

This is a gem in Ashford. We purchased the cabin recently and got it up to date! It's conveniently located, comfortable, warm and functional. It's unplugged with no cell reception but we did have wifi setup just in case you need to stay in touch a little bit, if you want. Cabins in Ashford are getting expensive to rent, and we wanted to offer a more affordable option that still up to par.

Christmas Getaway

  • 5 of 5

It was the perfect Christmas present for me! My husband and I were able to get some quality alone time which we haven’t gotten in a while, in a beautiful cabin surrounded by nature. The owners had helpful notes around th cabin along with a complimentary bottle of wine which was a great bonus!

Pretty decent.

There was no firewood like was advertised. So I went and bought some. The axe that was there looks like the previous user tried to break rocks with it. So I bought an axe when I got firewood. Other than that it was cozy.

Owner's Response: So sorry to disappoint Daniel on this one. Apologies for the false advertisement. The pics do show firewood at the cabin, but that’s from when I was remodeling it. Our pre- trip informational documents clearly state that firewood be supplied by the renter and gives suggestions on where to pick it up for five bucks. I’ll make some adjustments in the listing to make it more clear and avoid the confusion in the future.

Our stay at this cabin was absolutely flawless. I wish we could have stayed a few more days!

  • 5 of 5

I never wanted our stay to end! We were lucky enough to get snow the whole time we were there. The area is so quiet and peaceful. Very clean inside and out. Tv and WiFi was a plus for the quiet cold nights. It was so refreshing staying in such a nice calm place. The snow put the perfect touch onto our stay, the area was BEAUTIFUL covered in snow. The river is maybe 100 yards from the cabin which was nice. Lots and lots of area to explore if you like to hike around. The cabin stayed very warm and cozy during those chilly nights with the wood stove going! I would recommend this cabin to anyone, it was a wondeful experience and we're already planning our next trip to stay for a couple more days! I have no complaints! The only thing that was a tiny bit challenging, especially for tall people, was the bathroom. The shower was a little tight and the shower head is kinda low on the wall. (I had to crouch a little to wash my hair.) None the less, those are very minor things that didn’t bother us! I already want to come back and stay longer! LOVE THIS PLACE!!

A frame dream!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 2 nights in this lovely cabin and I wish it could have been more. It was amazing even though it rained the days we were there. It was super cozy with a wood burning stove plus a heater if we needed it. The kitchen is great and stocked with lots of pots, pans and utensils if you want to cook during your stay. Even different oils and spices as well. We can't wait to visit again in the spring or summer and enjoy the hiking around that area. Since it is winter time there we took our 5 year old son up to Paradise area with some rented snowshoes and had a great time. The cabin was a nice warm retreat for us when we got back. It was nice to play games, watch Netflix and escape to the forest for a few days. Also the bed upstairs in the loft was super comfy. We didn't get to enjoy the fire pit area outside because of so much rain but it looks awesome. Would definitely recommend this cabin to everyone.

Clean and comfortable cabin in peaceful setting.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently moved to Washington. Since we weren't heading home for Thanksgiving, we decided to take the long weekend for a mini get-away in the woods. This little A-frame was PERFECT. It had everything we needed for a two night stay. Very cozy and clean. Modern updates, fully functional kitchen (Yes - I made Thanksgiving dinner!) and minutes away from the gorgeous scenery of Mount Rainier national park.

Just right!

Peaceful and quiet and perfect to get away from the huller om buller of the city.

Nisqually River murmuring 150 yards away. My two night stay featured constant rain (really the first substantial rain In the NW since spring), which I loved. Read, took walks in the rain, and kept current on email and news via wifi. Left refreshed.

Ample room for two.

A peach of a place!
