About the property

3br, 2ba Home With Mountain Views

Welcome to Our Helen House. It is a very quaint, single-level mountain home, also known as the old Taylor home place. It has been in our family for four generations. It is located one mile north of Helen in a community known as Robertstown. It has three bedrooms, two baths, a carport, a screened in porch, a covered back deck and is situated on about one acre of land. A fire pit is available for making Smores, and WIFI is provided. The old Smokehouse has recently been renovated into a studio cabin containing a double bed, sleeper sofa, love seat, and full bathroom. Please consult the owner for an additional fee if you are interested in using the cabin too.

It also has access to the Chattahoochee River down at Nana's Farmers Market. Take chairs, floats, and fishing rods 1/8 of a mile down the hill to enjoy the Chattahoochee River. Also available at Nana's are gifts and fresh produce.

After a busy day of hiking, biking, horseback riding, tubing the Chattahoochee, or shopping - come home and relax with a glass of wine on the large screened in porch. If you decide to cook out, a gas grill in provided. A Ping Pong and Foosball table are available for your entertainment. When it's time to go to bed, turn on your ceiling fan and drift off to sleep under a blanket surrounded by cool mountain air.

This vacation will certainly be a memory-maker. Come find out what we mean.

We enjoyed our stay at this cute yellow house!

  • 5 of 5

There was plenty of room and reminded us of our grandparents house! We would definitely stay again. So close to town, but located on a quite street. It was too cold to sit out on the covered porches, but hopefully we will visit again when it's warmer.

Not what I expected......saw it on line ,but I wish I had seen it in person first.

House was very large and close to everything.....beds great, house very old and smelled of mold.My biggest problem was there were no smoke detectors.I had to go out and buy two to feel safe the first minute we arrived....also had to buy some things to help overcome the smell. My grand-daughter saw a really big spider and was upset for the rest of time.Don't mean to be unkind, but only telling what I thought was the down side of the home.In summer the porch and fire pit would be fun I am sure.....

Owner's Response: My goal is for my guests to always have an enjoyable stay. From the time of inquiry, my guests are provided with my contact information, and I ask them to contact me with any questions or issues they may have prior to and during their stay. This is the first time I have been made aware of these issues. The smoke detectors had been temporarily taken down to replace batteries as we do at the end of every year. My cleaning lady is a dear who will gladly come and address any issues a guest may have. I have had the house checked for mold and none was found. I have also had the pest control company make an additional visit to the house.

We had a much needed vacation in total comfort. The owner was so nice and accommodating. We loved the house. It reminded us of our Grandmothers home. Everything you need is here! Very short drive to town. VERY VERY clean too. We will be back.

Had a family gathering here over the holiday weekend. Plenty of room for our group. Great to have 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Older home felt just like visiting grandparents!
