About the property

3br, 2ba Home With Mountain Views

Welcome to Our Helen House. It is a very quaint, single-level mountain home, also known as the old Taylor home place. It has been in our family for four generations. It is located one mile north of Helen in a community known as Robertstown. It has three bedrooms, two baths, a carport, a screened in porch, and is situated on about one acre of land. A fire pit is available for making Smores, and WIFI is provided. The old Smokehouse has recently been renovated into a studio cabin containing a double bed, sleeper sofa, love seat, and full bathroom. Please consult the owner for an additional fee if you are interested in using the cabin too.

It also has access to the Chattahoochee River down at Nana's Farmers Market. Take chairs, floats, and fishing rods 1/8 of a mile down the hill to enjoy the Chattahoochee River. Also take some time to shop for unique gifts and fresh produce at Nana's Market while you are there.

After a busy day of hiking, biking, horseback riding, tubing the Chattahoochee, or shopping - come home and relax with a glass of wine on the large screened in porch. If you decide to cook out, a gas grill in provided. A Ping Pong and Foosball table are available for your entertainment. When it's time to go to bed, turn on your ceiling fan and drift off to sleep under a blanket surrounded by cool mountain air.

This vacation will certainly be a memory-maker. Come find out what we mean.

My wife and I are both engineers. She is from Helen, GA and I am from Greenville, SC. We have been married 17 years and have two beautiful daughters - Brooke (13) and Campbell (10). Since she grew up in Helen she has the background on what to do, what to see, and where to go. Just ask her for suggestions. purchased this house in 1930

Quiet retreat

  • 5 of 5

We were able to walk to the tubing area from the house. Downtown Helen is a short ride. Very clean and spacious older home. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy, and tons of linens and towels available. Kids were able to play outside to their hearts content while adults watched them from the porch. House has enough space for our group of six to be together when we wanted and also have quiet time by ourselves when we wanted. No cell phone signal for us in this area, only in town, but the house does have pretty good wifi and I was able to work there, they even have a desk to set up your laptop. Great stay, we look forward to coming back next summer.

4 teenagers and 2 adults. The house had so much space for everyone. Lots of linens and a kitchen stocked with everything you need (minus food) We will definitely be back for sure.

Shawn is super easy to deal with.

Beautiful old house in Helen

  • 5 of 5

This house has real hardwood floors and cabinets, and a great screened-in porch. It was immaculate when we arrived, and well-equipped. Quiet neighborhood, and close to Helen.

Home away from home

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is old but extremely clean. We were impressed at the yard and how roomy the living room and family rooms were. Well stocked with lots of towels and linens. We would definitely rent this house again!

Cozy, Yet Roomy Nest to Gather Scattered Family

  • 5 of 5

This little Helen home was the perfect spot to gather scattered relatives for a nearby wedding. We spent most of our time on the screened-in porch catching up with family while listening to birds sing and enjoying the breeze. It was nice to have a large yard to stroll around in and we were even able to hang an ENO hammock between two trees. What a restful weekend.

Vintage home with lots of charm. Felt like going to Grandma's House!!

  • 5 of 5

We decided to visit Helen Ga for a Christmas getaway. The setup of this house made it feel like home. My wife and I enjoyed the fresh mountain air while sitting on the front porch wing. Between the vintage furniture and older style fixtures in the bathrooms and kitchen it was like taking a trip down memory lane. There were plenty of linens and the house was clean. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and there were plenty of dishes and utensils for eating. Every bedroom had a TV with cable TV. The house has WiFi and a landline telephone (handy if you cell phone reception is weak). Communication with the owner was excellent. We would love to rent this place again if we return to the area.
