If I could I would rate 4.5. The property was lovely and the location perfect. The hot tub is a very nice amenity to have on a cold night. The few down notes would be that the heating systems are confusing to use and the main living room stays cold as well as the hall bath, the smaller bedroom door and closet doors do not close,and lastly we were asked to start the dishwasher as part of checkout but could find no dish liquid or pod for it, so we had to hand wash all the dishes throughout our stay. Overall great property and we had an awesome time.

The property could use a good professional cleaning and refreshed paint and pillows, but the biggest draw back was the guest bed. It's listed as being two queen sized beds and the spare room is only a full sized. We paid for 2 additional guests that couldn't stay at the property because a full sized bed wasn't big enough for them. There is also additional cleaning required that isn't mentioned in the online ad, and when we stripped the cases off the bed pillows as requested they were very stained and old. The beds are very soft (just a heads up in case you have back problems) and the microwave didn't work.The hot tub does work but the outside yard is pretty run down.It's ok for the price we paid, but not being able to stay with the people we were in town to visit and still paying higher rates for them as guests was a major bummer. There are also two RVs directly behind the house and a car that parks in the driveway so I'm guessing the owners stay in it, so I'm not sure why they have the guests haul the big trash bin to the curb. It was full of trash that was there prior to our stay.

Just to clarify for anyone reading this review, the property owners do not reside at this home. The fenced backyard area that is not accessible to guests is used for the owners’ personal storage, including their travel trailer and equipment. At the time of booking, your message stated that only two guests would be staying overnight, while additional family members might visit during the day. We also do not charge per guest; our pricing is a flat nightly rate regardless of occupancy within the property’s limits. Additionally, a discount was applied to this reservation. Regarding the property’s condition, we respectfully disagree with the characterization of it being “run down.” The property receives regular professional yard maintenance on a monthly basis and is maintained to provide a comfortable experience for our guests. We appreciate all guest feedback and continually work to ensure our property is well cared for and accurately represented.
