Why Richard chose Shenandoah Valley

We purchased this home because it reminded us of the family cabins that we grew up with in California. Our kids love the outdoors and Massanutten provides the perfect base camp for exploring the George Washington and Shenandoah National Forests.

What makes this cabin unique

We have remodeled our cabin to meet the needs of two families. The large dinning room table comfortably seats 10 and the bunkhouse provides a great place for the kids to hangout while the adults visit upstairs in front of the gas fireplace.

Peaceful getaway with amazing views of the mountain, great size cabin and very well stocked!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin upon arrival was very clean and well stocked with games, dvds, and great cooking ware! The views were fantastic and we had an excellent time, would highly recommend. The owner was quick to respond and great instructions... super easy to get to and check out, no hassle! Would definitely visit again with the family and we had a baby, the cabin came with a nice high chair and pack n play, downstairs is PERFECT for kids and teenagers!

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is lovely and quaint.

Great house! Stayed with 6 friends. We enjoyed the house. The scenery is incredible. Be aware of the long, steep stairs into the house and within the house. Encountered some dirty dishes, but just worked around it. Would definitely stay again. Owner was gracious.

Memorial Day Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic house with a ton of amenities, games for kids, DVDs, Netflix etc. for all. The best part is the community around this house which has Adventure park, Tubing, hiking and biking trails, spa, golf course, go-cart etc.. This place has everything that you need to spend your vacation with your family. We spent 3 nights with 3 families and had a lot of fun. The bedrooms are okay in terms of size but the bunk beds downstairs are the attractions for the kids. The view from the deck was awesome.

Overall we had a great time together. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay while visiting JMU!

  • 5 of 5

Great to get away from the crowds in Harrisonburg during a busy weekend at JMU! Wonderful to be able to cook and serve meals in the space. Loved the views and thoroughly enjoyed the deck!

Beautiful view, comfortable stay

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed the gorgeous mountain views. The kitchen is very well stocked, and the furniture is very comfortable, especially the leather couches and beds. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it really needs a deep clean. It was surface cleaned, but the oven was filthy, the bathroom rug and wall were dirty, and there were crumbs in the kitchen drawers. The dishwasher was also full when we got there- clean, but full, so I had to put dishes away. There were also 3 light bulbs burned out in the master bedroom. Once this house is deep cleaned, it is the perfect place to stay! Great location, floor plan, views, and very comfortable.
