Why Richard chose Massanutten
We purchased this home because it reminded us of the family cabins that we grew up with in California. Our kids love the outdoors and Massanutten provides the perfect base camp for exploring the George Washington and Shenandoah National Forests.
What makes this Cabin unique
We have remodeled our cabin to meet the needs of two families. The large dinning room table comfortably seats 10 and the bunkhouse provides a great place for the kids to hangout while the adults visit upstairs in front of the gas fireplace.

Cozy, mountain escape
We enjoyed a weekend of good old-fashioned fun...playing games, watching movies, walking on trails. This home has all the conveniences you can imagine...wifi, washer/dryer, stocked kitchen, etc. We were more than comfortable and absolutely plan to return.
Location, View and thoughtful amenities!
Breath taking views of the Shenandoah Valley. Proximity to all Massanutten as to offer. When traveling from out of town, it's nice to come to a home already stocked with the necessities. Towels, linens, washer/dryer, stocked kitchen with paper towels, seasonings, EVOO etc! The home provides soaps to clean up, toilet paper and trash bags! Everything you need! Having rented many VRBO homes, it was nice to not have to travel with half of our home as well. Perfect place to bring the kids- they have their own space in the bottom floor with bunk beds, TV, bathroom, fridge etc... They can hang out on their own away from the main living space. There is a bathroom on every floor- Highly recommend and would definitely stay in this home again. THANK YOU!
Great property for two families. The Cub Den was a huge hit. We will be using this house again for our next stay.
That view !!
The view is worth the stairs up the property. The owner had thought of everything - amenities, linens, toiletries. We loved staying at the lucky bear - charming, cute and a gorgeous view!
Great place with views of the slopes
We had a wonderful time ... lower floor allowed the kids to have their own space with mini fridge, fireplace and tv!
Great family vacation spot
Our family traveled from New Jersey, North Carolina and Maryland and met here for a Christmas vacation weekend together. The house was decorated beautifully for Christmas and had everything we could have needed. The area was perfect providing so many fun things for us all to do. With kids ranging from 2-7 - everyone has a blast and was busy and entertained. Thank you so much for allowing us these memories together! We’ll be back!!
Luray Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, float trips down the Shenandoah river, wine tasting, and JMU football and basketball games are just a few of the activities you will find with 30 minutes of the front door.
