Bienvenidos a Casa Wendt, a beautiful Mexican villa home located in the gated community of La Jolla, San Jose del Cabo. Enjoy the views of Baja and hear the roll of the surf from every room in this large jewel of a vacation rental. The house includes 4 large bedrooms and 3.5 baths and comfortably sleeps 8 people comfortably. Recline in tiled heated pool surrounded by lush tropical landscaping or dine on the terrace using the outdoor grill. Lounge in the air conditioned rooms and watch Netflix or enjoy some surf lessons at Costa Azul. You will find that Casa Wendt provides everything you need to make your trip to Baja perfect


Upstairs:
The first master suite contains a comfortable king sized bed, private bathroom, and private outdoor terrace with dining space for 4 including BBQ.

Also upstairs you will find a full kitchen with all modern stainless steel appliances and a Mexican style 3 seat breakfast bar. Truly a cook’s dream! The dining area and living room are adjacent to the kitchen.

Downstairs:
The second bedroom offers 2 singles or 1 king sized bed with an open terrace and private bath. The second bedroom has direct access to the pool.

The third bedroom has two full size beds and can sleep 2-4 people comfortably. This room is just steps away from the pool and open terrace. In between the second and third bedrooms is a half bathroom.

The second master suite is a hacienda extension of the house with private entrance. This suite contains private pool access, private full bathroom, and comfortable king sized bed.

All rooms include large flat screen TV with internet streaming including Netlfix, YouTube etc. New A/C units installed

Pool area has outdoor lounge chairs and shaded areas for the perfect pool day. Outdoor bar is great for making margaritas and pina coladas. Full fridge and Webber Genisis BBQ for outdoor dining. Pool is heated to the perfect temperature of 80*. Snorkel gear, pool toys, boogie boards, and tennis rackets available.

Location:
This home is just five minutes from Costa Azul Beaches and the world famous Palmilla Hotel and Golf Course.The New Jack Nicklaus Golf Course is next door along with 3 other professional courses, great for golf aficionados. The Costa Azul surfing area is a 5 min walk with lots of great restaurants nearby. Conveniently 20 minutes to/from the Los Cabos Airport. The historic old town of San Jose is a 15 min ride, with restaurants and local artisanal shopping. Be sure to enjoy the art walk at the Plaza every Thursday evening with local artists and live music. If interested in fishing, enjoy the New Puerto Los Cabos Marina and take a tour with a local ponga fisherman or a fishing charter on one of the multi million dollar yachts.

The famous party town of Cabo San Lucas is 20 miles away and accessible by bus stop just 5 minutes away from the house. Uber and taxi are also available. In Cabo San Lucas you can see the famous Los Cabos Arch, experience the bustling nightlife and take a glass bottom boat ride.

Take a ride up the East Cape for 35 miles of pristine empty beaches with great surf. Tennis courts just a 2 min walk away and are available on request.

Wonderful visit

From check in to check out we had a great time. We spent a lot of time at the pool and were worried about it being in the front of the house but the home is on a quiet street so it ended up being just fine. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials for eating in.We were very happy with our stay and would return.

Amazing Stay

Steve was an amazing host. This location was safe, secure and private. We stayed 8 days and it was bliss. We cooked a lot on this trip and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The private pool was perfect for our family. We enjoyed it several times a day. We will be back for sure!

Super nice and responsive property owner which makes such a difference. Pictures are a good depiction of the property. Pool is gorgeous. Location is great. Our Return to Cabo

Steve has a very nice get away place in Cabo. It provides you everything vacationers may want and need. Nice and cozy with ample room to move around with the wonderful salt water pool. Had a issue when we go there but Steve got on it immediately and the rest of our stay was perfect. Will Return again.

It is a lovely house. One note though, be ready to (literally) live with cats as they basically live, sleep, eat and drink on the terrace next to the pool. If you are allergic (as we are) you won’t have access to any of the chairs outside as they are all covered with cat’s hair.

Great week in San Jose Del Cabo

Great place to stay, 4 adults and 4 teenagers had a memorable week. Rooms, pool, kitchen and common areas were all great. Sure the place might need a little TLC, but it was perfect for our needs. The community is on the corridor connecting Cabo San Lucas and San Jose and is not especially walkable (though I did make the 45 min walk into downtown SJDC one day). A car is a must have and the owner might be able to help out with that. There are pickleball/tennis courts at the property.

Rest and Relaxation at Casa Wendt !

My 3 girlfriends and I spent 3 wonderful weeks relaxing at "Casa Wendt." The house was more than spacious for the 4 of us and we spent many afternoons down by the pool cooling off and having drinks. The property is in a "gated" community , so we felt completely safe at all times. We also had the opportunity to use the vehicle to get us out and about - groceries and sight-seeing too. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a safe place to stay in San Jose del Cabo - it really had everything we needed.

Good Time in San Jose

The description and photos were accurate. Four couples and each had nice, large rooms. The outside balcony, the living room and the pool deck provided common space to enjoy each other. The casa is located in a gated community providing short walks. we used the rental car, and Uber to get around. The town of San Jose is quaint, has excellent restaurants as well as some within short drive on the beach. We drove to public beaches, Chileno, and Palmilla. The owner came over to answer any questions and the communication was excellent running up to and during the stay. The pool was clean and enjoyed a dip. Breakfast at Grandmas, dinner twice at Mama Mia. The Secret Garden downtown. I would highly recommend Steve's place. I am a VRBO host myself

The location was convenient, the pool was lovely, and the host was very responsive and communicative throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the cleanliness wasn’t up to expectations — there was pet hair on the carpets and bedding, some hair and a rusty razor left in the shower, and dusty blinds. The air conditioner in one of the rooms wasn’t working; the host did try to get it fixed, but it couldn’t be resolved during our stay. Overall, it was a comfortable property with great potential, but it could use more attention to cleaning and maintenance.

Lots of space

The home felt like we were visiting family. It was just as described and Stephen was a wonderful host. He was very responsive and provided good recommendations. The house wasn’t as clean as I like and I let a lot slide because I felt like I was visiting a family member. The mattresses were not all that comfortable but there was lots of space for everyone to be comfortable. Location was great. Area very quiet. Steve saved us money because were able to use items from the hours to take to the beach.

Cabo getaway

Rental experience was seamless. Owner was very responsive to our inquiries about activities to do around town. Property location was perfect, close to downtown San Jose de Los acabaos and Zona Hotelera. We are avid walkers and walked to Downtown and Zona Hotelera but Uber is very accessible as well as public transportation; we tried all three. We definitely would come back.

Perfect set up!

The house was fabulous and we were close to everything. Our husband's are spearfishermen and enjoyed the short to the dock daily. The pool was amazing the neighborhood was friendly. The house is set up perfectly for couples and large families. The house provided everything we were looking for.

Roomy villa, great location

We were a family of 5 adults and 2 teens. This home gave us plenty of room to gather together or spread out. So many bathrooms made it easy for us to all get ready for the day quickly. Loved the pool and lovely outdoor area. Utilized the bbq and lounge chairs on several days. Several local beaches close by that were free of pesky venders. Enjoyed ziplining (just a few minutes from the home), swam with whale sharks in La Paz 2.5 hours away (ate bacon wrapped burritos and the most delicious lemonade and “red” juice at Los Percherones before heading back to San Jose—recommend 💯%). We also spent a day over in Cabo San Lucas where we rode a glass bottom boat out past Pelican Beach to Lands End. Viewed the Scooby Doo rock, many fish, sea lions and took pics at the Arch. Our friendly captain steered us out further into the Pacific where we got to see whales up close. It was so awesome! We enjoyed the location of Casa Wendt as it was close to the airport and several less crowded local beaches. Only about 30 min tops to Cabo San Lucas, making it a quick trip to all the sights that direction. (We prefer to stay further away from the city crowds when we travel.) Steve recommended a private chef (Tez) who catered a meal at the home the night of our arrival. The food was absolutely amazing and there was enough leftovers for a second meal that week. There are two grocery stores nearby. La Comer has many “helpful” employees who end up wanting to suck you into a time share presentation each time you shop. Avoid that by visiting the Chedraui supermarket. More upscale and no venders (although they only let 1 family member in at a time due to Covid—l recommend spreading out your entry times by a minute or so if you want to shop together.) Casa Wendt has a well stocked kitchen and many pantry items already available, so stop in before shopping to avoid unnecessary purchases. All appliances we used were in working order. Appreciated dish and laundry soap being available. We recommend this home and would happily stay here again.

Quiet + Relaxing place to stay

Our entire group of 8 loved our stay at Casa Wendt, and we used the pool everyday. Senor Iguana came down his palm tree daily to visit us by the pool. Also, lots of wonderful bird life. Steve was extremely helpful getting the WiFi updated, and recommending Flora Farms plus nearby beaches. A trip to remember.

If you are worried about security in Mexico this is the house to rent and the town to visit

Pretty much everything we could want in a temporary home

We had an awesome time at Casa Wendt with a few friends/couples. The pool is a fabulous place to hang out, and the patio beer fridge keeps beer at just the perfect temperature!! Home is very comfortable and the added bonus of the vehicle was so appreciated. We even made a fabulous Christmas turkey dinner with fresh herbs from the garden!! Yum! Nice walk down to the beach and Zippers, although the walk back up the hill is a good hike... (ready for a swim again!) Friendly gated neighborhood with amazing views on our walks. Only 2 small complaints/suggestions: Other than the master bedroom, the beds could use a memory-foam mattress topper & better pillows for some forgiveness over the hard mattresses. There is also a house in the next neighborhood behind here that had dogs that seemed to go off barking in the morning (ugh... not Steve's fault, but if I had a bebe gun... just kidding!) After 5 weeks, we felt like it was "our home" and we were very sad to go. We definitely would recommend Casa Wendt !

Awesome villa

Just left casa Wendt spent 5 wks LOVED it! Great location, Steve the owner helped when needed took care of all our needs, very easy too deal or laugh with. Wonderful having a vechile got to see more of cabo loved it made it easier to shop. Beach is easy 5 min walk .Would stay again in a heart beat.

Fantastic getaway!

Best vacation yet! The pool is amazing, house is great, and the owner is wonderful and extremely accommodating! We were there for almost THREE months and it really was "our" home! We had plenty of room for visitors and the neighbourhood is lovely and secure. The house has everything and if you need anything - Steve is nearby!! Cant wait to go back!!
