About this property

Northwoods Cabin Near Hayward Close to Snowmobile Trails and Nelson Lake

Hi and welcome to Bruckner’s Bungalow.

What really sets this cabin apart is the location. Set just outside of Hayward, it gives you the Northwoods feel while keeping you close to town, lakes, and trails. It is an easy place to come and go, whether you are here for a long weekend or a full week away.

Hayward is only minutes away and known for the Lumberjack World Championships, the American Birkebeiner ski race, and a great mix of local shops and restaurants. You will find handmade goods, small businesses, and longtime favorites like The Social Kitchen, The Ranch, and The White Stag.

Nelson Lake is just a three minute drive to the public boat launch with easy parking and simple access. It is a large, scenic lake and a popular spot for fishing, boating, swimming, and ice fishing. Anglers come here for walleye, panfish, bass, and northern pike, and there is plenty of room on the water throughout the year.
Boat rentals available on Nelson Lake.

In winter, snowmobile trail access is close by via Nelson Lake Road, making this a convenient home base for riding. When the snow melts, the area opens up for UTV and ATV riding, biking, hiking, and lake days. This is a location that works well in every season.

Inside the cabin, the layout is thoughtful and comfortable. A large entry area off the porch works well as a drop zone for boots, coats, and gear, keeping the main living space open and welcoming. The living area includes a wood burning stove, a large dining table for meals and games, and a cozy kitchen that makes it easy to settle in.

Each bedroom is spacious with a king bed, and the bathroom includes a deep soaking tub that is perfect after a day outdoors. Step outside to the covered porch to enjoy coffee, watch for wildlife, or unwind in a rocking chair at the end of the day.

Whether you are here to fish, ride trails, ski, or simply slow down, Bruckner’s Bungalow offers a comfortable and well located place to stay any time of year.
