Beautiful and peaceful setting in the hills. My dogs loved the enormous fenced-in yard. I really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The home was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Thank you so much for your kind review, Virginia! We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed the peaceful setting and that your dogs loved the fenced-in yard. It’s wonderful to know you were able to relax and enjoy the hot tub and fire pit, and that the home felt clean and comfortable during your stay. We truly appreciate you choosing Blue Mist Cottage and would love to welcome you back anytime!
The house was nice size and very roomy. Nice enclosed porch area and BIG yard for the dogs. The mattress seems to be getting used, so they may want to look into that. But the kitchen, dining, and living room areas were very nice. Location was quiet but still a decent distance from Townsend.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for staying with us! We’re happy you enjoyed the space and the big yard for your dogs. We appreciate your note about the mattress and will be looking into that right away. The home is in a peaceful area, just about 7 miles from Townsend — a great balance of quiet and convenience.
We absolutely loved our stay in this home. It was super clean and comfortable, as well as having all the necessary amenities. (Consider adding a spaghetti colander. ) The best of our experience was the host herself! What a gracious and understanding lady! I did misunderstand the distance from Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, as I thought it said only 25 minutes, but would be 25 miles through the mountains instead. No big deal, we just enjoyed the beautiful views on the drive, especially at night...(even though I had the white knuckles going on...lol)That was the only drawback because all of our weekend plans were there. But that was totally on us. The hot tub was incredibly soothing after a long busy day, and we really appreciated that in addition to everything else. The property and fenced in yard made it especially nice for our 2 small dogs. I felt safe and secure letting them run around, and they enjoyed playing in the leaves. Though we didn't use the fire-pit, it looked amazing and we surely would have used it if we had more time there. I would definitely recommend this home away from home, and when we are back in the area, we'd love to stay again. Thank you so very much, Donna! My daughter didn't bring her 2 college friends, but rather surprised me with my other daughter and son in law, back from Belize. I didn't expect to see them until May. So your accommodations and graciousness made my heart full, and my weekend complete! Thank you!!!

Thank you so much for your beautiful review! It truly made my day reading about your surprise family visit — what a special memory, and I’m honored that our house was part of it.
I’m thrilled to hear that you found the home clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and that the fenced yard worked so well for your pups. I’ll absolutely add a spaghetti colander — great suggestion!
I appreciate your gracious note about the distance to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I’m glad you were still able to enjoy the mountain views on the drive, but I understand how it could feel longer than expected at night. I’m updating the listing to make the mileage and drive description even clearer for future guests.
Thank you again for being such wonderful guests and for taking the time to share your experience. You’re welcome back anytime — I’d love to host you and your family again!
