Lovely 1940's farm house only 18 min (13 Miles) from Asheville. House is snuggled between three mountains on 136 acres of Farm Land and Forest. Note this is a working farm so you will have the potential to see Horses/Cows/Chickens/Etc. Large back yard for familys, including a fire pit in season. We rent the house vacation rental (some of the year) to continue to keep the original farm house in good shape for the future.

Hi, My name is Rodney. I was born and raised here on the farm. I moved to Asheville (downtown) for a few years while going to college, but then returned to the family farm to live in the original farm house my Grandparents built. We are a tight knit family and we all still live on the working farm. You will always receive a kind wave as anyone as they pass by. :)
Why Rodney chose Weaverville
I am renting the family farm house to help keep improving the overall farm. We are currently re-fencing the 136acres which is a monumental task when it comes to purchasing supply’s now a days.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Take a break from the daily grind. Set back on the porch and listen to the stream roll by.

Great little, quiet getaway!
This space is the perfect mix of country living without being way out in the middle of nowhere. It is super clean and has great outdoor spaces. Rodney is the best and makes sure you are well taken care of. Great price for what it delivers.
Home was very clean and had everything we needed
Rodney was a great host. The house was comfortable and our dog loved the big yard and green grass.
House was clean, quiet and comfortable.
The house was nice and had everything we needed. Location was nice 15 minutes from Asheville and 10 to Weavervile which is a great little town with some good food options.
We stayed here for one month while house hunting. Quiet, as described. You can sit out back and look at the mountain, sometimes bathed in fog in the morning. Short drive to downtown Weaverville where we ate at Stoney Knob Cafe, Well Bred Bakery and Twisted Laurel, all good restaurants to try. Also good access to the Blue Ridge Parkway via a twisty turny road that is thankfully only about 4 miles long,
The refrigerator broke during our stay but Rodney arranged for a new one which his father Vaughn helped install. Rodney's parents live across the street and are willing to help out when needed. (They provided an extra folding table for us to use as a computer table in one of the bedrooms.) We got to meet Rodney when he came home for July 4th, surprising everyone. We enjoyed talking with him and hearing about his travel adventures and meeting his delightful dog, Jay Jay.
The house is comfortable, though the ceilings are quite low (7.5' estimate) which may be a problem if renters are 6.5' tall, but didn't bother us as we are not tall! Except for the refrigerator, we had no problems operating the washer/dryer or any kitchen appliances. House got a little warm towards the end of our stay, because summer arrived, but the window unit air conditioners are adequate. Internet is awesome, very fast! Satellite TV is available also, with a very large screen TV!
We really enjoyed our stay here!
Nice quiet house in a peaceful location.
This is a nice escape from the big city.
Rodney was great, his family stopped by to make sure we were OK. My son loved to see the horses across the street. The kitchen was well equipped. Wifi was fast & reliable. When it got cold, the heaters in every room made sure everyone was warm & cozy. Full sized washer & dryer. I would stay here again. Thanks Rodney! :)
Rhodes Farm turned out to be one of the best rental decisions we have ever made. Our host, Rodney, texted up before our arrival and stopped by to see that everything was as expected. The house and grounds were immaculately maintained and the house was beautifully decorated for the holidays while at the same time giving a cozy lived in atmosphere. Rodney told us that the house had belonged to his grandparents and we did indeed feel like we had come home to grandma's for Thanksgiving. A walk up the hill beside the house gives a glorious 360 view. A perfect mountain retreat for the holidays or anytime of year.
