A 5 minute free ferry ride and instantly, you are away from it all.

No cars, no stores, no problem. Just absolute paradise!
Really, there are no stores, no restaurants, no cars, no kidding.

Little Gasparilla Island is a beautiful bridgeless barrier island only accessible by boat. The island has 7 miles of uncrowded 'Old Florida Beaches'. You truly feel like you are on a private island.

The sunsets! Little Gasparilla Island has the most amazing sunsets. No two are alike. The colors in the afterglow can be spectacular. You will be sure to go home with plenty of magnificent sunset photos. She Sells Seashells offers the opportunity to view the sunsets right from the lanai.

The island offers some of the best fishing. You can fish from the dock or the beach. There are many options for boat rentals and fishing guides. For an adventurous experience you can even try fishing for goliath grouper which can get up to 700 pounds.

There are several options for kayak and stand up paddle board rentals. You may want to try a guided kayak tour through the mangrove tunnels or rent a clear bottom kayak to explore. If you would like to try, there are fishing kayaks available to rent.

The shelling is incredible. You can find a multitude of beautiful shells including sharks teeth and sand dollars. Wildlife is all around you. There are dolphins, manatee, gopher turtles, sea turtles, blue heron, pelicans as well as many other bird species. During sea turtle season you might be able to catch a baby sea turtle release.

She Sells Seashells is a gulf view "beachfully" decorated 2 bedroom 2 bath townhouse. The maximum occupancy is 4 people.

Our home has a King bed downstairs in the master bedroom and 2 queens in the second loft bedroom upstairs.

There are golf cart rentals if you would like to explore the island further. Beach chairs, beach toys, beach umbrella and a handy beach cart are all provided for your stay.

The lower level covered deck is the perfect spot to relax. There are several added amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. There is plenty of comfortable seating, dining table and chairs, hammock, shell wash, stand up cooler, ceiling fans, bug light, beautiful outdoor lighting, fold down bar and a charcoal grill. An outdoor shower is downstairs, which is so refreshing after a day at the beach.

The ferry is free for guests and runs every 1-2-3 hours depending on the day of the week. There is free gated parking on the mainland. Also included is the use of the heated community pool. You can even bring your own boat (21.5 feet maximum) and dock it right at the community dock. There are 33 dock slips on a first come first serve basis. If you choose, you can use the community grill and smoker.

A short drive from the mainland there are several restaurants and grocery stores to choose from.

What a perfect little spot to rest and relax! The unit is just as described, clean and well equipped, only a short walk to the beach with unobstructed views of the gulf from the back patio. The ferry service makes this unit easy to access from the mainland. It was a really special place. Enjoyed every minute of our visit.

This was the perfect location for us! Once we became familiar with the ferry process, and realized that our car was not in a gated lot, and we didn't have to have a parking tag...we were able to relax. We were concerned with the fact that the parking lot did not match the description, we were concerned about being towed. The condo was clean, everything was provided and we could see the ocean from the back porch. The walk to the beach was very peaceful stroll to the beach! Excellent!!!

Peaceful setting

We appreciated the screened lanai and the bonus space with hammock and chairs under the condo. (The variety of spaces was helpful with combining work, kids, vacation.) The pool was wonderfully warm, and finding numerous shark teeth on the beach a treat. Christine relayed helpful answers to questions including information on mainland grocery and kayak rental. Ferry/skiff captains were friendly as well.

Hideaway is a great vacation spot on Gasparilla Island. The properties are well kept and this one in particular was great! We have stayed at Hideaway several years and this was by far the most clean, very well- decorated and up to date condo we have stayed in. You can see and hear the ocean from the back porch and watch the sunset. Having a golf cart included is a definite plus as well! We loved "She Sells Seashells" !

We have always wanted a vacation home. We stumbled upon Little Gasparilla Island on the internet and loved the concept of this bridgeless barrier island with no cars, restaurants or stores. It feels like a private island. We fell in love the first time we visited the island. The beach is uncrowded and peaceful with amazing sunsets! We love treasure hunting for shells, shark teeth and sand dollars. It is the perfect place for us to gather as a family and decompress. Every time we leave the island our family bond is closer.
