Why Christine chose Florida South West

We have always wanted a vacation home. We stumbled upon Little Gasparilla Island on the internet and loved the concept of this barrier island with no cars. We fell in love the first time we visited the island. It truly is paradise. The sunsets are amazing. The beach is uncrowded and peaceful. It is the perfect place for us to gather as a family and decompress. Every time we leave the island our family bond is closer.

What makes this townhome unique

Wow! What an incredible spot! The condo is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated.

We had such an amazing week at this condo on LGI. The sunsets were breathtaking, the ocean was so warm and the our kids loved the pool too. The ferry rides were fun and a great way to chat with others and get tips about the island. The kids loved walking to the southern tip of the island and seeing dolphins, gathering sharks teeth, fists full of sand dollars and lots of shells. It was so fantastic to have lots of beach chairs, boogie boards and beach umbrella to use and the wagon to drag it all to the beach. Had a blast exploring the island in the golf cart. Really can't say enough good things about this place. We didn't want to come home! Highly recommend it!

Great get away!

  • 5 of 5

This is my 4th year staying on the island, Christine's place is tastefully decorated, yet homey and comfortable. The view of the sunsets from the porch were impressive. Beds were very comfortable, slept soundly every night. The shelling is great on LGI, up at dawn to hunt the beach, back home to make a picnic lunch for the beach, stay out all day swimming and watching the waves. Back home

In for dinner then back to the beach for sunset and a glorious array of stars. Snuggle in to your comfy bed, and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Rinse, repeat x 7 days equals a great vacation. Christine was available for questions if necessary, a great stay!

Very nice condo, loved island.

  • 5 of 5

We arrived on the island to beautiful weather and liked the condo, it look very nice decorated in beach decor. The second week we where there our son and kids came and they had lots of fun with the kayaks and hang out with us. The kitchen and downstairs area had everything we needed to fix our meals there. We found getting to and from the island very easy because of the free boat access and parking on mainland. Will plan more trips in future. Christen was very helpful the whole trip even when there was a power failure on the island.

Charming getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Oh, where to start... The house is clean and comfortable, well-maintained, and very well stocked; the island residents we encountered were friendly and helpful; and Christine was impressively responsive to our questions and concerns. We enjoyed the screened-in lanai for both morning coffee and evening cocktails. Shells are abundant all along the beautiful natural beach, and it was a pleasure to have beach chairs and umbrellas (all in good condition) available for our use. We did some exploring with the golf cart, and it was great for getting back and forth from the house to the dock, or to the pool. Since we brought our sailboat, we needed to move things on and off (coolers, change of clothing, etc.), and the carts provided made easy work of it.

Little Gasparilla Island is a barrier island, and you will need insect repellent; it's probably also a good idea to "go native" - wear long pants and long sleeves in lightweight materials.

Only five minutes from the ferry is a well-stocked Publix. We made two grocery runs in the course of ten days and that was just about right, if you plan your meals. There are restaurants nearby, too, but somehow, for us, eating out wasn't part of our away-from-it-all vibe.

With the physical beauty of the place, the adventure of exploring by golf cart and kayak, and the many thoughtful touches in the house itself, we can't say enough good things about this wonderful vacation home. We'd love to come back again!
