Our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom townhouse is one of the closest units to 7 miles of unspoiled beach and the Gulf of Mexico. Relax on our screened-in front porch and watch the sunset into the ocean.

Newly refurbished and fully-equipped, this is your home away from home. Here you will experience time standing still, some of the best fishing in Florida and a safe family environment, this vacation is best described as no rules - just FUN! Should you forget your basic beach or kitchen staples do not panic it is all there.

Golf cart rental available on the island. Should you need to escape the island, a daily ferry service is available to the mainland. Grocery stores, shops, & restaurants are within minutes from the private parking.

LGI is a beautiful, unspoiled paradise. From shelling to fishing to watching dolphins jump from the waves there’s no place I’d rather be. The beach house has everything you’ll need. It is beautiful! The landlords are friendly, professional and accommodating. Wonderful!

Great Vacay

Hideaway Bay is a great place for families. We were able to stay together, yet do our own thing! Our older kids were able to walk the beach while the adults tended to little kids in the pool without worrying. There were ample caring, considerate people around to oversee all of our needs!

Now we understand why condo renters return year after year

Each day started with breakfast; then reading, sitting, and walking on the beach. The day ended with a glass of wine while watching the sunset. LGI was one of the best retreats I have had in 20 years. And since I am over 60, I sighed with relief to see mostly retirees who were also enjoying the setting. If you like seclusion, this is the place. Believe the ad. There are no stores, restaurants, shops, etc. Only residences, two small condo complexes, golf carts, and miles of sand. And not a lot of people. Each day on the beach I only saw 6-10 persons as far as the eye could see.

As a solo traveler, it was not difficult to navigate parking, walking across the street to the ferry, and reaching my destination, primarily because I asked questions and everyone was more than eager to assist. After five days, my husband joined me and was equally impressed with LGI.

Karin, the condo owner, was extremely helpful by immediately answering texts and phone calls. The condo location was perfect. In fact, with envy in their voices, word quickly got around that I was in Bldg K.


Before parking upon arrival, stop at Publix and pick up minor essentials such as food that will get you through the night and breakfast. Make a shopping list for the rest of your stay and go back to Publix the next day. Take the freezer packs and a small towel to help keep refrigerated items cold during your wait for the ferry. There are fabric shopping bags in the cupboards. Small sundry items can be found in wicker baskets in the bedroom.

Try to time your arrival so your quick shopping trip will get you closest to the next ferry departure. Unfortunately the ferry runs only every 2 hours, so you may end up waiting an hour. Even if check-in is not until 4:00 p.m., you can get onto the island and walk around the complex until then. I hid my luggage in the garage until check-in.

The ferry is about 6 miles from the last turn if coming from exit 191, which was not noted in the instructions. Karin has indicated she will update directions and check-in procedures.

Beware of mosquitos after the sun sets. I was reluctant to leave any doors open in the condo after dark as the screens aren’t securely in place and there are gaps. Had 3 mosquitos in the bedroom one night, and saw a wasp on the patio one day.

My husband and I are on the waiting list for 2019 and hope to stay two weeks v one. Love LGI.

We are located on Little Gasparilla Island. No shops, bars or restaurants. A 10 min ferry ride from our island takes you to the mainland where Publix, Walmart and McDonald remind you that you are still in USA!

Boca Grande is world famous for TARPON FISHING and their restaurants and shops are a must! That is the island South of our island, our favorite detour.
