Noelle Roget, the owner was born and raised in San Francisco Bay area and has been coming to the beautiful mountain town, the gateway to the Trinity Alps since the early 70's where her sister and family have been residing for over 40 years.
After extensive travels working on private yachts in the East Coast, the Mediterranean and The Caribbean she settled down in Weaverville and opened 'Noelle's Garden Cafe.'
During the 11 years of operating the Cafe she continued to travel in the winters to tropical destinations.
After many years of driving by the Whitmore House (which seemed very neglected and calling out to her) on her way to the Cafe, she managed to purchase the building. The renovation, (a labor of love) took 3 years while working full time at the Cafe and working late nights and weekends to restore the house.
Noelle Roget purchased this house in 2004
This is a one of a kind property in Weaverville offered as a hotel accommodation and is on the National Historic registry.
Noelle saw a dream and a need for the community to have a place available for events such as family reunions, weddings, fund raisers and for the traveler passing through to have a place to come and enjoy with the comforts of home.
In the downtown Historic district of Weaverville and in walking distance to all of the cafes, shops, museum, theater and the county offices including the hospital.

Décor of home was beautiful and our room was spacious and clean. However, there was no offer of an afternoon tea and the breakfast consisted of coffee and "store bought" muffins. There was no cream available for the coffee although the host did offer to go to the local market to buy some - we declined... Very disappointed
Our room was downstairs, which we were very happy about because we really didn't want to climb stairs. We did look at the upstairs rooms and they were very nice. We found the house quiet and the hostess unobtrusive. We met friends in Weaverville and spent time visiting on the wonderfully large porch. I loved how the house and rooms are decorated. There was fresh coffee, juice, and homemade muffins waiting for us in the morning. Will stay there again.
We had a very relaxing stay. We loved eating our dinner and breakfast on the porch overlooking the garden. It was a convenient location to walk around town. Noelle was very gracious and helpful. We will be back!
Nice and comfortable. Breakfast could have been a little better, other than a muffin taken out of the freezer and thawed.
I was raised surrounded by art and culture. The Whitmore Inn is like living in a Victorian painting. Every nuance was beautiful, from the color accents to the layers of curtains, candy dishes on the tables, unbelievably fabulous pieces of unique antique furniture, bedding, etc. The surrounding yard is beyond comparison and the extended porch was an entire other level of classy living space. However, beyond the physical beauty, the proprietor was total class herself. Water was always available in the refrigerator, the continental breakfast was just enough food, coffee excellent and plentiful. If you feel life is ever drab, one night in this beautiful estate will make you feel like royalty, as in fact you are treated like you are. I have stayed in many Inns and this was the absolute best. Thank you, Noelle. Never could guests be treated better.
We had a very relaxin getaway. The house was very beautiful. Inside and out. My wife really enjoyed the Rose room, while i enjoyed the garden room. We were made to feel very welcome. A great atmosphere. The town was interesting with a selection of local shops and places to eat. The mountains are very beautiful and fun to explore. Great hiking.views.We definitely recommend the Whitmore. We will be back.
