Minimum Stay 5 nights

About the property

3 Bedroom, 4 Bathroom Home With Beach Access And Stunning Views

Odin, Norse god of wind, surveyed everything in his realm from his throne - Lidskjalf. At Lidskjalf at Annaberg, you will survey the untouched beauty of St. John's north shore as it was hundreds of years ago when the first seafaring gods came upon it.

Walk to three National Park beaches from this wonderful island home. Francis Bay beach is five minutes away on foot, Little Maho beach a more invigorating fifteen minute hike, and Leinster Bay beach an easy ten minute stroll along the water. Some of the best snorkeling can be found off Leinster point and Waterlemon Cay, so bring your mask and fins!

Three queen bedrooms and four bathrooms with two outdoor showers complement the huge great room/kitchen, which boasts a wall of picture perfect views. The bedrooms are all very private, with each having its own flat panel tv, A/C, sea view, and sitting area just outside a sliding glass door.

Pretend you are Christopher Columbus looking at the untouched National Park bays and hillsides or watch your favorite channel on satellite TV and check email and Facebook with WiFi.

Either way, be prepared to experience the true St. John--its stunning beauty and incomparable beaches!

Great Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Loved this house... Family (husband, me, 2 daughters 18/20) rented this house for a week in March 2015. LOVED it! St John's Properties (Andretti) very helpful... House is very nice - had everything we needed. The location is great - hiked every morning at 6 folllowed by an early swim with the turtles/rays at the beach down the road. Walked to Francis beach - beautiful. Lots of beaches a short drive... Great snorkeling at a few different reefs within walking distance. Played tennis at caneel bay and used their facilities as well. Will definitely be returning....

Rugged seclusion with all the amenities

  • 5 of 5

The seclusion of this house is what drew us in from the very beginning, and while the pictures are beautiful from the profile, we figured they were probably photoshopped and dated...... They were not! In fact the pictures do not do this place justice. Every free moment we had was spent gazing at the view from the very well-appointed deck. All the furniture inside and out was selected with comfort and lounging in mind. The kitchen was also very well stocked with everything we needed to make meals at "home." Bedrooms and bathrooms were also very clean and comfortable. The real shining stars were the staff at St. John Properties, from the moment we stepped onto the ferry dock we were treated like celebrities. They took such good care of us from the months leading up to our trip to the very minutes before we left. BJ, Nellie, Andretti and Tonja(sp?) and all the rest of the staff... Thank you so very much, this was by far the best vacation I have ever been on! See you all next year!

A wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

This is exactly what we hoped it would be: a beautiful location, a fabulous home, wonderful views, a place to experience the essence of St. John.

Everything about our stay here was terrific. We were a group of five adult family members and this home allowed us plenty of space to be together both inside and outside, as well as private areas to retreat, also both inside and outside.

The views of Mary Creek, and in the distance Waterlemon Cay and Tortola, are magnificent. You can watch the pelicans swooping and diving, listen to the water lapping, and stargaze at night lying on the chaise lounges.

The home is furnished very tastefully, with excellent quality furniture and bedding. There is little in the way of kitchen basics, though, and we had to purchase saran wrap and tin foil among other basics. The internet didn't work at first, but the managers were very responsive and after a day or two we identified the problem and it worked fine after that. For those that like to watch TV, they have a TV in every bedroom but none in the living area. Two of the bedrooms are on opposite ends of the living area (one of those is a separate building) and the third is on a lower level. All have sliding glass doors onto decks. The breezes are wonderful and we never had to turn on the AC.

All in all a totally delightful home, and we hope to return again!

Family Get Away

  • 5 of 5

We were blown away by the beauty of the place. View was amazing, it was very private and quiet. We had issues with the internet. Our daughter was taking an online class and we really needed access. The rental agency was a bit off putting about helping us initially but they did finally get it fixed. If you need internet connections make sure it's working before you get there. This issue could have ruined our trip. We chose this place because it advertised access. It was clean, comfortable, had great access to beaches, about a half mile walk. Really an amazing spot. We are hoping to get back there soon and this time not need the internet.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review. We were happy to accommodate your daughter at our “guest computer” in the office the day she had to submit her lessons, and very glad you were able to enjoy Lidskjalf to the fullest. A note to everyone who comes to St. John--please remember that we are a tiny island in the Caribbean and our infrastructure isn’t always dependable. (Right now we are having rolling electrical blackouts). Try not to bring work with you. But if you do, cellular is a little more dependable than internet (although AT&T shut down today for two hours, too) So if it’s really, really important to connect, bring a computer with 3G and keep your fingers crossed! If internet at your villa is out, most rental companies can find you a connection somewhere. Always an adventure…

Multi-Generational Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We were an extended family group. Youngest was 6 months, oldest (me) 67. The house was spectacular for us. Lots of privacy. Lots of room for all of us. The outside showers were magnificent. The photos here truly tell the story though the views might be even better in person. Francis Bay, a short walk away, was perfect for the youngsters and the oldsters. We often took a picnic lunch and spent ALL day by the water. Beautiful early morning walks to Leinster Bay (sp?) Divine. Absolutely divine.

Car: recommended

Surrounded by the VI National Park, this very private home is within walking distance to some of the most pristine, beautiful beaches on St. John. Snorkel the calm, flat waters of Maho Bay and you're almost guaranteed to see turtles. For a little more adventure, take the 10 minute walk to Leinster Bay for the best snorkeling on the island at Waterlemon Cay. You also won't be far from the Annaberg Sugar Plantation, where you can take a self-guided tour of the partially restored ruins and gain insight into St. John's history and culture.
