After traveling quite a bit during our 30 years of marriage, we rented this condo in early 2013. It was love at first sight. We decided to buy it and, now, we can share it with you. We are sure you will enjoy it as much as we do.
Gigi purchased this condo in 2013
This area of the Cayman Islands is so unique and the condo is situated to take complete advantage of this beauty.
You will enjoy wonderful nights watching the moon through the palm trees from the bed, listening to the faint sounds of of the waves lapping at the shore and the breeze playing the palms of the coconut trees. The private screened- in pool, accessed by the bedroom or living area can be used day and night. Words cannot accurately describe the feelings this place evokes. You'll see soon enough!
Perfect, idyllic, getaway in the Caribbean!!! Far from noise, Close enough for anything you want!

This rental at Cayman Kai Pools truly exceeded our expectations! We could not have asked for a better place to stay. I cannot thank Vilma and Gigi enough - they were very responsive, kind, and organized as we approached the date of our stay. It was our first time in Grand Cayman and we very much enjoyed the quietness the Cayman Kai Pools neighborhood had to offer. Just steps from the beach, a quick walk a long the beach to one of the best restaurants (Kaibo), walking distance to Starfish Point and Rum Point - the location is ideal but yet far away from the busy-ness of the super touristy area of Georgetown. It was great to come back after a long day of exploring to just swim in the pool at night, listen to the ocean, and watch the stars - the view of the stars from the property is AMAZING. I would DEFINITELY book this rental again, it had everything we needed and more! We had the most relaxing time and we were so sad to leave, but we will definitely be back! Thank you again Vilma and Gigi! Salamat! Gracias!!
The rental was great. The property is about 10 steps to the beach right out the back door, where we saw a large number of starfish snorkeling there. The property is in walking distance from "starfish point", another good area to snorkel, and the Cayman yacht club, which has two restaurants both of which are very good.
The condo was nice and clean, and everything worked well including the AC. The private pool within the screened in back area was also nice.
First time in Cayman and pleased with our stay at The Pools #4. Condo is light, comfortable and was very clean. Stocked with the essentials ( paper towels, dish soap, toilet paper, etc. ) to get you by until you get to the store. Also the bed is very comfortable! We felt like we were the only ones in this complex for the first few days. There are only about a dozen condos in this complex and although there were a couple other cars we never heard anyone or saw anyone out back on the beach for a few days. Very private and quiet which we loved. Nothing but the sound of the constant breeze and the birds. You can see the Kaibo Beach bar from the beach...great place to walk to for a drink or snack. The drive to Rum Point is only 10 min. But the best thing we found is you can walk right out of the front of the complex, a short stroll away (to the left as you leave) the road ends in a circle. There is a Public beach access there to Starfish Pointe. Pretty much deserted beach area. There was a sign posted that said Private property but there was a wide flat path that ran parrallel to the beach....follow that....as everyone does...and it opens up to beautiful water and loads of starfish. Awesome vacation at the Pools. And the Rental Company is great to work with.
Great place to stay for a couple, plenty of room in the condo. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, reading and watching the water. There was a fair bit of boat traffic in and out of Kaibo Yacht Club on Easter weekend, some of the jet skis and power boats were loud. There was a lot less traffic during the week.
The condo is close to Starfish point (a couple hundred yards), we saw as many starfish in the water right at the condo as at Starfish point. The water is relatively calm at the condo except for the occasional boat wake. I would recommend swim shoes for being in the water at the condo, we did find one sea urchin close to shore. We did a Friday early morning trip to Stingray sandbar, we were the only boat there and had all of the stingrays to ourselves. It was convenient to walk down to the Kaibo Yacht Club dock for the trip, it was operated by Compass Point. If you want to dine upstairs at the Yacht Club, reservations are recommended. Over the Edge cafe was about 10 minutes down the road with dining right on the water and good food. On the east end of the island was a restaurant called Tukka, it was excellent food.
We snorkelled at Smith's Cove, be careful for underwater rock formations. The water there is a little more protected with less wave action. I wish I had done some snorkelling on the east end of the island near the reefs. There were excursions operated by Compass Point on the East End, but they don't operate these every day.
East End has a small IGA grocery store and a liquor store, they are closer than going to Georgetown. Alcohol is very expensive on Grand Cayman.
If you go to Hell to see the rock formations, you can see similar rocks right behind Queen Elizabeth's highway marker on the north shore highway headed to East End, just not nearly as extensive as in Hell.
We also enjoyed seeing the blowholes (really just surf spraying up when it hits the shore) on the South shore. Go on a day that is windier with higher surf.
We frequently rent vacation homes (including twice before in Grand Cayman) and were extremely happy with how much better this condo was than we had expected! We absolutely loved being on the 'quiet side' of the island and having the lanai and good-sized private pool - we felt very spoiled to have this luxury all to ourselves. With an almost-two year old, we didn't have to pack everything up to trek out to the pool or beach when it was all right there. Just needed to be very watchful when our toddler was playing in the lanai/pool area, but we creatively used some of the patio furniture to makeshift an enclosed play area. We even saw starfish immediately in front of the condo. Great to have Starfish Beach and Rum Point so close for beach swimming, and Kaibo Beach bar was a convenient walk for dinner. Definitely need a car, especially for getting groceries. Thelda and Gigi were both very helpful and wonderful to deal with, both before and during our stay. While the condo is older, it was very clean and well-maintained. It's 5 stars to us because we felt we got more than we paid for at this amazing island getaway! We definitely hope to be back!
We had a wonderful relaxing time! the condo was spotless clean with beautiful furniture. The bed was so comfortable. The coffee pot was not working, we called Gigi and she had another one there the same day! Cant wait to go back. Thanks for everything and for sharing your piece of heaven.
Aquatic activities galore for the beginner or the experienced !!! Enjoy kayaking, jet skiing, paddle boating, wave-runners, snorkeling, scuba diving, bioluminescence rides, and many many more. For those who need to decompress, take a break on these white sand beaches and pristine waters.
Just a few minutes away shop for island treasures. Go for a magnificent sunset dinner at Rum Point restaurant or at Over the Edge or enjoy an unforgettable 'Luna del Mar' full moon dinner served right on the beach at the Kaibo Yatch Club restaurant. The Tuesday barbecue at Kaibo Bar and Grill is really great and lots of fun!!!
