About Craig Stephenson

I have vacationed in the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area and have family in the area. I absolutely fell in love with the area and particularly the people. I am active duty military, so I don't get to make it to the mountains as often as I'd like to. But, pleasing my guests is a very high priority of mine because I want them to have the same enjoyment and satisfaction I have whenever I stay in the mountains. The surrounding faith-based community is the most appealing facet that draws my attention to this area. I assure you the beauty and the peace I feel whenever I get to stay at this home is very unique.

Craig Stephenson purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Craig Stephenson chose Sevierville

After spending just one night here, you will realize how much you'll enjoy the serene privacy of this cabin. You never know what natural wildlife may happen past while you're sitting there.

What makes this cabin unique

The most unique and wonderful benefit of this cabin is the serene privacy that it provides. Whether it is relaxing in the jacuzzi, cuddling next to a warm fire in the fireplace, or enjoying the beautiful scenery on your private back porch... this cabin has it. It provides the perfect recipe to relax and enjoy the company you are with without the hustle and bustle of everyday stress.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Frankly Peaceful. You see, I'm basically a lazy man at heart, and for me to got to the wilds of the woods, and the mountains would take something astronomical to move me. Besides, for us it would be a 3 1/2 hour drive through treacherous roads of the Interstates and mountain backroads. Well, I went with trepidations and encountered some heavy traffic in Sevierville, which was no big deal, it was tourism at it's peak. I'm a beach lover, and encountering this traffic at the beach is OK. But, what's HERE??? In the WOODS??!! Also, finding the route to the cabin was a bit intimidating for a flat-lander beach bum. Up a network of winding roads, we finally reached our destination. We arrived to see a quaint little "log cabin" type house, located in a wooded area. It was eye awakening, for I noticed there were other cabins peppered around the area at a good distance apart from each other. So, we found the key in a "lock-box" on the porch, and I just happen to see a broom handy, so I swept some leaves that had fallen off the front porch. I unlocked the front door and what did I see? This beautiful setting of a kitchen, with everything that one could ever need! A dinette and living room fully furnished, and with a fireplace, two doors leading to the screened back porch with lounge furniture, and yes, TWO flat screen TVs, one in the bedroom and the other in the living room. As I stood looking out that back porch, God's creation suddenly seemed to explode with it's beauty right before my very eyes, with the sounds of nature that was music to our ears. We couldn't help but say, "WOW!!" Further exploration revealed a bedroom, with a beautiful queen size bed, that looked hand made, two bathrooms and a jacuzzi tub. "All this beauty in the middle of the woods?" I thought. We were ecstatic to say the least! We didn't need one thing except to show up...with groceries, of course. The next morning, I arose to God's lovely "show place." I made some coffee and had planned to read my Bible on the porch when, looking out, I was overwhelmed with joy, because it was like God was saying to me, "Happy Birthday, Rod." You see, the Thursday we were there was my birthday. I immediately went to my knees to thank Him for this gift of awesome natural beauty before me. Do we intend on coming back periodically and every chance we get? You betcha'! Would I do it again? In a "skinny minute!" I'll be calling to make another reservation SOON!!

Very nice property with a few issues to be addressed...

  • 4 of 5

The hot tub was fantastic and the Jacuzzi was incredible. Frankly Peaceful is an adorable, cozy cabin that I love! The fall leaves were gorgeous and we'll be back! However...just a few notes for the caretakers...there is a mouse that likes to poop all across the kitchen counters all night long. This same mouse or a friend of his poops everywhere under the sink as well. I realize we are in the woods and this sort of thing isn't unusual. However it needs to be dealt with. Yuck. And the main bathtub needs an anti-slip mat inside it and there needs to be a rug down in that bathroom. My husband, 39 years old, SLIPPED getting out of that tub. I know we should've had the towel down but it got moved. Scared the daylights out of me. He is FINE. Almost broke a toe, but only has bruises. In conclusion, I want to thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely cabin!

Place was very clean and cozy.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfectly cozy and romantic. It’s not too far out and simple to find with GPS because we had cell service the whole way. We really loved it. We would stay there again.

Nice though the cleaning crew which a renter has to pay a fee for isn't doing a very good job.

  • 3 of 5

The cabin is nicely secluded. There is some upkeep that it is desperately needing. The linens are old and stained and the cleaning crew isn't doing a great job. All the shelves and decorations were dusty. The cabin has everything you need for a romantic get away

Cumfy and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

We could not have been happier with our accommodations. The cabin was very clean and well supplied with everything we needed. Plus the cabin is close to everything yet we were away from it all. It did take a couple of days before I could locate the cabin without the aid of a GPS but after a couple of days it was a piece of cake. Thank you once again for providing a great place for us to "getaway".
