Beautiful ocean views in a dated facility. Most of the amenities were closed or not working. Our unit was very dated and could use a serious refresh. It was however, sparkling clean and functional.

Lacking Essentials

Upon arrival, we were immediately disappointed to learn there were no essentials, such as toilet paper, bath soaps, dish washing soaps, etc. We had to leave the property at midnight to find a 24 hr conenience store selling these items. We were also disappointed to learn how unreliable the internet service is in the building. Not at all out favorite. Vacation rental. We won't be staying here again.

Needs updating

It is a nice location, but the condo really needs some TLC. The carpet has bad stains, the shower doesn't drain properly, the couch has no support, the dining chair pads are absolutely filthy and need to be washed, and the patio chairs were almost all broken. We had a good time, but I am glad I read some of the bad reviews ahead of time to temper my expectations. We won't be returning.

After I booked over 3 months ago and the night before check in I got the conformation info with the code to get in and all had my 5 year old excited we where sitting in the car packed fixing to head that way when I saw another email saying it was canceled and the message was sent around 11 am. the day of check in but I didn't see it until around 2:30pm. So NO I am not happy !!!!

Nice condo poor upkeep

St. Regis is a very nice property. This was a nice condo but upkeep was less than ideal. Windows and mirrors were smudged. Furniture in living and dining areas dirty and uncomfortable, need replacing. No cable in this unit and straming was difficult and tedious. The kicker was that there was no bed pad on the master bed and the one I found was folded up in the closet dirty. I had to wash linens to feel comfortable about sleeping there. Washer annd dryer anre old annd very noisy. Overall, just poor upkeep and not very clean. Nice unit on nice property, poorly maintained.

great location, great view but needs renovations

You stay here for the view and the location. But the unit was worn out, the sofa was unusable, we could not even sit on it for a few minutes, and the quiet bed in the master bedroom was worn out, with holes and cigarette burns. There was a hole in the main bathroom near the vent with two-inch cockroaches crawling in and out. The internet mostly did not work and on the days it did it dropped every 10-20 minutes without stopping. The TV cable and streaming devices never worked and the master bedroom has a 15-inch TV that could not connect to anything. Still, we were not there to watch TV. We spent much time on the balcony enjoying the view when we were not on the beach or enjoying the coastal sites. I would recommend staying here but I hope the owners will invest a few hundred dollars and update a few things. A new quilt costs $15 at Big Lots. 2-3 days rent would buy a new sofa or even a used one would be better than this worn out and broken down sofa.

Great Location for a get away

The condo was as described but be aware the place is extremely dated. So you can not be looking for fancy. The gym was circa 1986. The stove is an old electric stove so I wound up using my Electric Skillet for most of the cooking. The picture of the view is not accurate. There are now two houses on the dune that have been built since the pictures that are supplied. I chose this condo for an unobstructed view at a higher cost then another choice. I was not happy to find two houses in the way of the view of the ocean. The pool area was close and the food at the snack bar was kid approved. There was only one working elevator and at times almost no water pressure. The stay was very nice and I would stay at the St Regis again. Check in and out requires you to go to a separate office in the next town and be careful using GPS. It takes you to a closed office across the street. The VCASA people are wonderful and helpful.

Outdated and dirty

We arrived at the rental office around 3:30. We were told we could not check in until after 4 o’clock and I had to sign a paper saying that we would pay $200 fee if we got to the property before 4 o’clock. We arrived about 10 minutes after four. Tables and mirrors, as well as shelves and other items were covered in dust. All the seating was outdated and kitchen and bar tables were very dirty. The kitchen table was dirty. The master toilet was unstable. Overall just needs updated remodeled and cleaned up. Our only problem was with the unit. The property itself was nice. The description was not accurate . There was no tennis court. Also, the view from the balcony is not accurate. The kitchen was very sparse with one fork and the stove was very outdated and difficult to use with the nonstick old pans. I recomend this property but definitely not this unit.

NO CABLE, view was good!

The view is nice! The condo was spotless, kudos to the cleaning team. I appreciated there were towels, washcloths, sheets on the bed, dishwashing detergent, shampoo and soap. The owners definitely need to update the furniture. The couch is terribly uncomfortable. There is NO CABLE! There is a nice big tv in the living room (not internet capable, so couldn’t stream) and smaller tvs in the bedrooms. I understand we are at the beach and we are there for the beach, however we were there under a tornado watch/storm… even had the weather been perfect, you still are on the beach all day and then come in to watch tv. There was a dvd player, NO DVDS. NO GAMES…. We went to Jacksonville, which is a distance, and bought a deck of cards and an auxiliary cord to connect from the tv to my phone to stream some movies, but I had to install some channels on my phone😡. During a storm, especially a tornado warning, i would think it would be a safely issue, as well as a convenience, to have cable to be able to watch the weather and possible evacuations. If you have kids, bring something for them to do when they are not on the beach! Myself, I have never been to topsail and rented something without cable. I’ve been going to topsail for 38 years, for that matter, I don’t think I’ve been anywhere that didn’t have cable!!

Very unhappy and unpleasant stay

This condo was gross upon arriving. There was actual trash all over the floors, old French fries, hair bows, razor covers, etc. Three of the chairs on the porch were broken. The fridge was leaking horribly. The king bed bathroom had a huge hole on the tub and also had a moldy shower curtain. The stove and over were absolutely disgusting. They looked like they haven’t been cleaned in several years. There was trash in trash cans from previous renters. The king size bedspread had a huge stain on it. One of the twin bedspreads also had a nasty stain. The shower liner for the twins bedroom bathroom kept falling off the clips. Several dishes were dirty. The dinning chairs were very dirty from previous renters touching them. The walls and baseboards were visually filthy. The counters and the dinning table were visibly dirty. There was no indoor pool. The outside pool was shut down for almost a whole day due to shocking. There were only one working elevator in the building and on several instances we waited as much as 20 minutes for an elevator to arrive. The beach water was beautiful but we had to do a lot of cleaning ourselves as Vacassa communication was not great and they continuously said they would notify local staff but only a couple of people came and didn’t complete what they should have. There was a man patching holes on our decks roof when we got home one day and we were not notified. The list goes on and on. I will never stay here again. I will rent somewhere different if
