About this property

Surrounded by Nature-Easy Roads-Peaceful & Private. Pets OK! Hot Tub & Fire Pit

If your idea of an authentic mountain getaway includes plenty of nature and adventure, Woodside Cottage should be at the top of your list. This newly constructed two-bedroom modern cottage gives you a back-to-nature vibe that few Smokies’ cabins can match.  Wake up to bird calls as you enjoy watching the “smoke” burn off as the sun comes up during your morning coffee on the deck.  Watch turkeys or deer grazing in the yard.  Or drive down the street (1 mile) to Foxfire Adventure Park for top-rated zip lines, swinging bridges, even pet friendly hiking trails.  Plus, you’re only about 12 miles from two national park entrances—Cosby and Greenbrier.  Woodside Cottage is all about the great outdoors.  And best of all, it’s a great value!

Look at everything you'll be able to enjoy:

__Large 2.62 acre yard

__Drive-in, Drive-out (semi-circular) driveway

__Lots of parking space

__Brand new Viking hot tub with LED lights

__Big dining table and string lights on covered porch

__Backyard fire pit with Adirondack chairs

__Well traveled adult dogs are welcome (with advance approval and pet fee)

__Stay connected with reliable Spectrum internet

__Smart TVs in living room and bedrooms

__Spacious kitchen for making meals at the cabin

__New charcoal grill

__Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and ceiling fans

__Bright lighting in bathrooms

__New washer and dryer

Woodside Cottage is ideal for one or two couples; a friends’ get-together, or a small family.  It’s located on a country road with a few other cabins nearby, but nothing right next to you.  The Pearl of the Valley wedding venue is located further down the road, so you may occasionally see vehicles headed that way.  There are no steep roads or switchbacks and the drive to the cabin is very pretty as you wind through the mountain farms and homesteads.  The last half mile before you reach the cabin, the road changes to a gravel base.  In the winter, this private road is not plowed by county road crews.

Woodside Cottage welcomes adult dogs up to 75 pounds. Sorry--no puppies, kittens or cats. The pet stay fee is $125.00 plus tax and is charged per pet. We appreciate any supporting details so we can determine if your pet is a good fit for the cabin. We may be able to consider two dogs. Dogs must be experienced travelers. Absolutely no confining of pets to the bedroom or bathroom.

Please send the following info for pet approval:
-Pet's age
-Confirm your pet is on a flea/tick program
-Confirm your pet will be crated when alone at the cabin (feel free to use ours or bring your own)
-Agree to keep pet off human bets & pick up after them in grassy areas

Please reach out to us with any questions.  We would love for you to make Woodside Cottage your home away from home!

So happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Woodside Cottage! At just under 900sq ft (interior) it is on the smaller side but perfect for a part of 4 or less. We like to utilize the large covered front porch when weather is nice for meals. We thank you for allowing us to host your Smoky mountain getaway!

This cabin is truly adorable, well taken care of, and updated furnishings, kitchen, and bathrooms! It was a peaceful location, with some woods right at the back and well off the main roads. The hosts provided games and puzzles that my family and I really enjoyed! We also visited Great Smoky National Park, about a 30 minute drive (traffic getting closer can be tricky!). Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this property!Jen was very easy to work with and communicated with us throughout our stay. The property was very nice, clean, comfortable, and exactly what we were hoping for. It’s located on a quiet gravel backroad with very little traffic, making it a peaceful place to relax and get away.We also had the chance to meet a few of the neighbors along the road, and everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the highlights of our stay was meeting Brownie. As you turn onto the gravel road leading to the property, there’s a good chance you’ll see him sitting on his front porch waving as you go by. I took a couple of early morning walks up to his place, shared some coffee with him, and even helped him stack some firewood. He’s a sweet older veteran who makes you feel like you’ve known him for years. That little bit of small-town hospitality made the stay even more memorable. One thing to keep in mind is that cell service is very limited or unavailable in the area. However, the property does have Wi-Fi, so we were still able to text and use FaceTime. WhatsApp is also a good option for making calls over Wi-Fi.If you’re looking for a clean, peaceful place tucked away from the traffic and noise, with some genuinely friendly people nearby, this is a great choice. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again!Bill
