House details:
This 2800 sq. ft. home was built to entertain groups. It's located on beautiful Sabin Lake and sits directly across the lake from the top rated Legends Golf Course. Shallow water, sandy lake bottom, great for kids.

The main floor consists of the mudroom with front load washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen (crock pot, blender, waffle maker etc), large center island and table, living room with TV and gas fireplace. The master suite has a queen bed, TV, double sinks, large shower and bathtub. The 2nd bedroom on this floor has a queen bed and is next to the bathroom that has a shower/tub.

The downstairs consists of a large family room with comfy sectional couch. A 60' TV w/ sound bar is great for watching sports and movies. There is a walk up bar area with a sink and another full size fridge with freezer so you have plenty of room for food/drinks. Bedroom 3 is on this lower level and has a queen size bed. Bedroom 4 is a custom built bunk room that has 2 twin beds over 2 full beds. There is a large full bathroom on this level with double sinks, bath/shower combo.

There is a deck off the upstairs dining area with a gas grill and sitting area. Walk down the steps to a large patio with 2 tables, chairs, fire pit and nice gradual slope to the lake.

Enjoy the use of our paddle boat, 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks and explore beautiful Sabin Lake. Our lake shore is sandy and gradual slope so it is perfect for kids. The lake shore is the main reason we bought this lot! Fish or just hang out on the dock. We have lots of sand toys, floaties, life jackets for you to use.

There are hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails just across the street. The trails offer a dynamic path along the streams and large forested areas. The trails connect to the well known Mesabi Trail (which runs from Grand Rapids to Ely).

We paid extra attention to detail and kept the renter in mind when we designed this home. It truly is perfect for groups and we hope you love it as much as we do. Thank you for your interest in our home!

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Lock the doors
Please drop your trash at the dump when you leave. Our cleaner can't handle all the garbage anymore. There are directions in the welcome book. It's right on your way out so hopefully not a hassle.
$50 garbage fee if garbage is left at the house. We really appreciate your help with this!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No loud Music or "party-like" atmosphere (we've had complaints from the neighbors who live there year round).
Please bring all garbage to Garbage Area on your way out when you leave.

This house was perfect for two families visiting Giants Ridge together. The kids had their own level to themselves in the basement and the adults were able to relax on the upper level. No detail was missed - the kitchen had everything you need to make a meal, the snack basket, the custom door code, perfectly cleared driveway in winter! We loved it

This beautiful home was perfect for our family for the weekend of our daughter’s wedding at Giant’s Ridge. We had plenty of space for our family and having many fun toys for the kids was a big plus. We had a two day golf trip at Giants Ridge. We grabbed dinner after golf on friday night in town and checked in after 8:30. Everyone thought it was a great property. We were gone for most of the day on saturday and most of the group was gone ASAP sunday morning. We'd definitely book again if we find ourselves playing the courses again.

We have 3 boys and live a few hours away in Andover, MN. We built this home with the plan to entertain and rent it to groups of friends or families. We absolutely LOVE it and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We looked for a rental property for several years and finally found the perfect location to build in Voyageurs Retreat (located across the lake from Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort). It has the best of both worlds- golf, hiking, biking, canoeing and swimming in the summer. Downhill ski, snowboard, cross county ski, sledding and snow shoeing in the winter. There are also hundreds of miles of ATV trails and snow mobile trails just a few miles away.

What makes this property unique

Swim, boat, golf, hike/bike/walk on all the trails in the summer. Ski, snow board, sled, snow mobile in the winter. Need I say more. It's the best of both worlds. There's nothing else like it!
