Remodeled home with open layout of kitchen, dining area, bar and living room. Two queen size beds. Both bathrooms have wonderful heated tile floors for winter comfort. Fenced backyard. Separate laundry room with washing and drying machines. Less than a mile walk to downtown Hood River or to the developing Heights area. One block to Hood River Valley Parks & Recreation Aquatic Center. New furnace and air conditioning unit for year round climate control.

We both grew up in Oregon, on the coast and in the Williamette Valley. We love the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and all of the wonderful recreational activities it provides.

Why Kay Miller chose Hood River

Living in the Williamette Valley and the heart of Pinot Noir country, we found ourselves too far from Mt. Hood and winter sports. The city of Hood River is the perfect combination of small town atmosphere, fantastic food and beverage options, and amazing proximity to the rivers and mountain.

What makes this house unique

Our house was in need of some love and attention when we found it. It truly was a blank slate. With some hard work and determination we've placed our own unique impression on it, transforming it into a home. One of our favorite things about Hood River is that it is complelely accessible by foot.

Great stay! Great location and lovely hosts.

We had a great time! Walked to town and had delicious dinners. Thank you for the late check out. Got a nice bike ride in today. Was really a fantastic place to stay in Hood River.

Excellent

We come to Hood River every summer and usually stay in different rental homes. This is one of the best we have stayed in. The place was clean, comfortable and well-located. We walked to the pool and park and to downtown. The air conditioning was much appreciated as we were there during an especially warm period. I appreciated that there were some food basics in the kitchen such as condiments, sugar and spices, as well as plenty of cooking tools. Kay was very responsive to our questions. We hope to come back next year.

1705 Montello is a Good Place to Stay

Kay and Seth Miller's home is clean, updated, well-kept and nicely functional. The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are well stocked with utensils and linens. The location is good for excursions. The home is charming, but don't expect it to be extra large or overtly luxurious. It seems very suitable for small families or 4 adults headed for the outdoors.

Pleasant Hood River Adventure

The four of us were impressed with the cleanliness and moderninity of all the appliances, bathrooms, floors, etc... We would highly recommend staying at Kay's home in Hood River. The location is also very convenient to all the downtown happenings. When we arrived, I had a minor issue with getting the wifi working in the house. I texted Kay and had it resolved quickly.

Cleaning Fee $90
Damage Deposit $300

If rental date is less than 30 days from booking date, 100% of all fees are due at time of booking.
Owner has the right to terminate contract at any time, without notice.
Please allow up to 30 days for refunds to damage deposit.
Guest list and renter ID to be submitted within 7 days of setting reservation.
Any rentals beyond 7 days are subject to an additional $30 per additional week cleaning fee.
Any signs of eating food or drinking beverages on the living room furniture will result in some or all damage deposit being forfieted.

Cancellations and Changes in Reservations: Cancellations must be made 30 or more days prior to scheduled arrival in writing. If a reservation is cancelled with less than 30 days notice you will forfeit all monies and be responsible for the full rental amount unless the Property is re-rented for the entire length of the stay and at full price in which case there will be a 10% cancellation fee or $50, whichever is greater.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
