Our group of 7 adults and 5 kids had an excellent stay at this beautiful house. It is an older, simply-furnished home but the handcrafted construction is beautiful. It sits at altitude overlooking Monteverde with a perfect sunset view. We wish we'd had time to explore the grounds more. Listing is accurate that you will want a four-wheel drive car for access.

Flexible sleeping arrangements for a family was our primary consideration, and this fit that bill. The view is spectacular.Tobi was a responsive host. Monteverde is a more rustic and outdoors experience. Be aware that access to the casa really does mean 4WD and that you won't walk to a mercado on a whim. But as a base to explore, it was great. Ask Tobi to connect you with Dulce if you need a guide.

Fantastisch huis boven op een berg in Monteverde. Zoveel kolibries in de tuin! Ook nog heleboel andere dieren gezien. En ‘s nachts een prachtige sterrenhemel.6 slaapkamers dus geschikt voor grotere groepen. Wij waren met 2 gezinnen. De route er naar toe werd goed uitgelegd. Wel 4x4 nodig om boven te komen. Goede communicatie via Whatsapp. Bij aankomst rondleiding gehad. We voelden ons heel welkom!

Great host, he gave us lots of great advice on where to go and what to see. If you want to wake up to greet monkeys at the start of your day, this is the place to be! Super fun, and the best restaurant around, Stella's, is super close. Added bonus, no mosquitoes!
