The Scottie D. Across from Zillie's, a cozy 2-bedroom house in lovely Ocracoke

Escape to this welcoming home in picturesque Ocracoke. Originally designed as a stand alone hurricane proof octagonal house, it is now part of a duplex. The owners live on the other side. We call it an upside down house. The living room and kitchen are upstairs and the laundry room is downstairs. Each level has a bedroom. If you have bad knees, or just can not do stairs, this is NOT the rental you want.

With two comfortable bedrooms featuring a king bed(upstairs) and a queen bed(downstairs), guests can enjoy a restful night’s sleep. The two bathrooms one includes a jetted bathtub(upstairs) and a refreshing shower, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The downstairs bathroom is a shower/tub combo. Stay cool (especially downstairs) with air conditioning and heating throughout the house. Whether you’re getting ready for a night out or just relaxing, the space offers everything you need for a pleasant stay. Our place will help you feel at home while you're traveling in Ocracoke.

We do not offer refunds for weather related cancellations, ferry issues or illness. We highly recommend that you purchase optional travel insurance.

If you want to do early check in there is an additional $45 fee. It is extra added stress for our cleaners to have everything ready for those that get here on an early ferry. Normal check in time is 4:00 pm and check out time is 11:00am. If you want to check out late it is a $100 fee.
