This well-loved family home is tucked away on a peaceful dead-end road, yet just minutes from the charming village of Brunswick, Bowdoin College, excellent restaurants, and the coast. Guests are provided with a curated list of favorite local spots, including two beautiful sandy beaches within 30 minutes. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate nearby kayaking, paddleboarding, and boating opportunities, with several hand-carry access points and a public boat launch just two minutes down the road.
Because this is a family home, it is furnished and stocked accordingly—designed to feel like staying at a friend’s house. The kitchen is generously supplied with spices, condiments, and dry goods. Avid cooks will enjoy the well-equipped chef’s kitchen, complete with quality stainless-steel cookware for preparing gourmet meals with ease. Family-friendly amenities include a high chair, bibs, and kid-sized plates and bowls.
The chef’s kitchen opens to a fireplaced dining room featuring a long table ideal for lingering meals or late-night card games. The great room offers a striking two-story fireplace (wood stove), a comfortable family-sized sectional, a large TV, and Sonos speakers for relaxing evenings indoors.
Enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails on the screened porch, or gather around the pond-side fire pit to create lasting vacation memories. Each porch overlooks a broad lawn perfect for children at play, while the driveway is ideal for sidewalk chalk or bike practice.
Each bedroom is peaceful and cozy, with windows looking out into the surrounding forest. For families traveling with young children, the home includes a pack-and-play with mattress topper and sheets, along with an audio monitor and sound machine to help with nap time.
While the setting feels secluded, the home is just a short walk from a local fresh fish market offering excellent chowder, lobsters, and classic fried seafood dinners.
Enjoy all Maine has to offer from this beautiful home, making everlasting memories with family and friends. Heron's Perch will certainly beckon you back for years to come!
