Maui is an exceptional place, with the most pleasant climate unmatched by any other place on earth. Kihei in particular has the least rain and you can plan a vacation any time of the year. You will not be disappointed.

Kamaole Sands resort is a quality steel & concrete construction with elevators. The inner courtyard and tropical gardens are breathtaking and the ocean view from our building is fantastic. The two Kamaole Beaches across (#2 and #3) are great. The one to the left (Keawakapu) is a world class 4 mile long beach that take you to Wailea.

We had been to Maui on vacations many times before selecting Kamaole Sands as the best overall value of all South Kihei vacation condos.

Location, views, and quality construction makes Kamaole Sands the winner.

What makes this condo unique

The third floor condo in building #3 is special because of it's ocean view, overall position in the property, as well as proximity to the resort amenities such as the pool area. After sunset, (you can watch the sunset in the winter months from the lanai), you can sit on the lanai looking at the 3 beautifully lit fountains.

The bedroom is very private and quiet being located at the opposite end to the living room. Even the designated parking stall for our unit is conveniently located close to the elevators.

Two bathrooms plus washer and dryer complete this unit.

This was a great place to stay! Clean, good looking, and in a central location. Only downside is it doesn't have air conditioning. They have ceiling fans and another fan, so it never got too hot.

We were absolutely delighted with Kamaole Sands apartment. It had everything we needed, the apartment was beautifully renovated and had everything we needed and ample space. The pull down bed was great and easy to use and comfortable. Communication was great with PMI Maui. Kihea is a lovely area with gorgeous beaches just across the road. Only 20mins from the airport. We would definitely recommend. Great for families as the pool area and grass area is lovely.

High-end modern with great amenities and location

Our family stayed here for 5 nights at the end of June 2016. We were drawn by the central location, the modern design, and the price point. As for the modern design, this place does not disappoint. The fit and finish of the furniture and cabinetry are excellent, better than what you can see in the photos. I’m not sure how the owner got Calligaris furniture all the way from Italy, but it is here. The decor is beachy, modern Hawaiian. Beautiful things of interest that speak to where you are without the kitsch. The kitchen amenities are excellent, going beyond just your standard toaster and coffee maker to include a super powerful Ninja full fruit juicer/blender. The appliances are top-notch, too.

There’s beach towels, chairs, some beach toys for kids. Anything we needed, it was here.

Some things about the complex itself. The pool, which is right outside this unit, is open from 8am to 10PM. Those hours also happen to be the timeframe for quiet hours, and the community does well to respect that. It may be a bit loud around 9, but it will quiet down. This complex doesn’t have AC in any of the units, but it’s so close to the beach, there’s a good breeze that comes through and with plenty of fans in the condo, it will cool down nicely. There are tennis courts, at least one ping pong table at the pool, a few hot tubs, and some grills for lunch and dinner. If you’re here on a Wed., don’t miss the Hawaiian music, hula dancing (with a lesson if you want one) and free mai tais at the pool starting at 3. It felt very old school Hawaii - it was awesome.

The complex is right across the beach from Kamaole Beach Park III, a nice little beach, and of course walking & driving distance to many more. We also walked to the boat launch to catch our snorkeling tour with Redline (fantastic and highly recommended as well).

We really enjoyed our stay here. The amenities and the quality of this condo gave us the impression that the owner designed something fabulous and we are lucky enough to share it. If you are the kind of person that appreciates modern design, you’ll be hard-pressed to find something as nice as this anywhere else in Maui especially at this price.
