I am a Colorado native and my family and I have made the Aspen valley home for 23 years. My wife and three girls love where we live and embrace the mountain lifestyle we have chosen with enthusiasm. Hopefully we can share our wonderful home with you for brief time.
Doug purchased this House in 2006
Why Doug chose Basalt
Our home is just that - a home - very comfortable - inviting and enjoyable.
What makes this House unique
Small town living for big city people is how we describe where we live. It is a wonderful place to visit with all the amenities of an urban existence with fresh Rocky Mountain air, crystal clear rivers, incredible hiking, biking, skiing and culture right out the front door.

Fabulous property with many outdoor activities
This property was fabulous, beyond our expectations. The photographs don't tell the whole story. This is a meticulously maintained home with fully equipped kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and baths, and so many options for outdoor fun! We had planned to explore the surrounding area more but ended up spending a lot of time at the property and loved every minute. It's a great area for fishing & rafting.
Majestic,Clean, very comfortable and convenient to local amenities : a beautiful well-kept place.
Although we were there for a ski week with marginal conditions, we found lots of other things to do and had great week with lots of laughs and great memories. One could immediately tell this was not an ordinary “rent house”, but a home , with all the comforts and on property things you could imagine: ping-pong in the garage, a zip-line and trampoline in back, a hockey rink out front, and an open concept, very complete kitchen, dining, living area all in one. The views out front are wonderful.
Doug is not just the owner, but a very available overseer. He gave us his cell phone # and was always available, but it was rarely necessary to contact him , as the instructions about day to day living there were quite clear in his instruction bulletin in the kitchen. Our extended family of 10 was very comfortable. Thanks for a great week!
It was great to have you and your family as guests. Keep us posted if you ever want to come back.
The house was roomy and well appointed. We had all the supplies we needed for large family dinners.
The home was comfortable and roomy. The zip line and trampoline were a blast and every night we had a Ping Pong tournament!!
A Lovely property...a home away from home
The property is located in a quaint and peaceful community. The house is warm and inviting. It was the perfect choice for our family gathering. We spent the majority of our time at the home cooking and enjoying the many amenities. My personal favorite was the steam room in the master bath. My kids enjoyed the ping pong table in the garage and the zip line in the back yard. The owner is very accommodating and a pleasure to do business with. Thank you Doug for a wonderful experience
Best CO mountain getaway
Everything you need all in one place! The quaint little town of Basalt is great to spend a day or several weeks. This property offers anything and everything you could want and need from space, quiet, views, relaxation, location, convenience etc. The house is amazing and offered the best of amenities. Thank you to Doug and his family for everything!
Best house and property!
This house and property was so fabulous! It had all the amenities you could need, even the little things like laundry detergent and kitchen condiments. Drawers were packed with things you might need, games and toys. The garage and outside had almost every kind of recreational item you can think of - way too many to get to them all. The entire property was so beautiful - it was the perfect place to observe the Feast of Tabernacles, which foreshadows the millineal reign of Christ. And Doug's hospitality was amazing, making sure everything was great for us! Thank you!!

Historic Basalt and Willits Town Center offer a plethora of fine dining establishments.
