Lake Superior - Gorgeous views from beachfront home in Marquette

Bedrooms 2
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 2 nights

About the property

2BR, 2Bath With Lake Superior Views That Change Daily, Sometimes Hourly

Open floor plan home just feet from beautiful sand beach on Lake Superior. Upper level patio with stairs to the beach. The two bedrooms are down the hall and across from each other. Both rooms have large closets. The queen room has view of the lake with sliding glass door to upper patio. The patio is huge and has a table and chairs. The other bedroom has a twin daybed and a double bed. The living room and dining room are one large area. There are 2 couches and a love seat. Sleeps 5 only. Kitchen has electric stove, fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, dishes etc and brand new dishwasher. New grill available on the deck in the summer. There is a TV/DVD/Wii and movies. Basic cable (in summer). No dedicated wifi but can sometimes catch my signal. There are many awesome restaurants and coffee shops with free wifi too. Laundry room in the basement which shares the other bathroom. There is no bathtub in the home - unless you count Lake Superior! Two showers total. The basement is used for our storage.

No pets allowed on the property. This includes people that visit you. No RV hook ups - yes we have had this happen. No parties.

Speaking of things to do, there is an awesome running/skiing/mountain biking trail system in Marquette known as the Noquemenon. There is also a ski marathon associated with the Noquemenon that is in January. Also near by is the North Country Trail which goes across the entire country. Also, there are so many snowmobile trails here that you can't do it all in one trip. The trails are all groomed. There is also a downhill ski area that is very fun. In addition to the wooded trails there is a paved bike path that runs for miles along the lake shore. The bike path is 1/4 mile from our rental. We really have a great location, that is the best part of this rental. We are about 2 miles from Northern Michigan University.

About Nina van den Ende

I am from the Marquette area. Having gone to high school here and never moving away, I obviously love it here. We have 2 children so we know all the fun stuff to do with your kids if you bring them. I work as a nurse at a veterans home and my husband works for the local hospital. He is originally from the Detroit area but has been here for 20+ years. We live next door to the rental so we are usually around if you need anything.

Why Nina van den Ende chose Marquette

This property is prime location in Marquette. My mother in law lived here until her passing years ago. It is a special place to us.

What makes this house unique

The location on the lake is why we fell in love with the home. The views are spectacular and so are walks on the beach. But yet we are in the city limits of Marquette.

Amazing location with gorgeous views and beach with cycle path nearby

  • 4 of 5

This rental house was clean, nicely furnished, and quiet. We enjoyed being able to bike to town and take the shoreline bike path for a longer ride Having our very own sandy beach where we could easily go swimming was very special. The only down side for us was the poorly equipped kitchen. We expected better cooking pans and utensils as we cooked most of our meals the six days we were in this accommodation. We used the grill but no utensils provided. For the high nightly price we expected more.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the feedback on the kitchen. We are having it totally redone this winter. There will be new cabinets, counters, lighting and better utensils.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

Had a great stay and the owners are wonderful! The views over Lake Superior are amazing and the house is in a safe, great location and is clean and had great space for our family of 4. Friendly neighbors, too. Loved being right off the beach so our kids could play when they wanted and we didn't even need to pack a bag! Highly recommend!

A perfect summer vacation

  • 5 of 5

Marquette MI was a new destination for our family this summer. This house was a great find right on the beach overlooking Lake Superior. This house is clean, well furnished and includes a large deck overlooking the lake. It included a kayak, canoe and bicycles. It's an easy bike ride to Presque Isle. The proximity is close to downtown Marquette and a short drive to scenic waterfalls and Sugar Loaf mountain. This is a great place to stay. We intend to come back.

Superior Life!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful views, comfortable home and clean water for all of our summer activities! Great morning walks around Marquette' s Presque Isle park, bike rides into town, and paddling in the bay. Gorgeous sunrise and sunset views from the large deck and nearly every room in the house. Great way to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary! Thanks😎

Absolutely perfect property in Marquette!! Right on the edge of town, right on a beautiful sand beach and right next to Presque isle park and on a quiet dead end road, checks all the boxes!! House is very nice and functional. Big open floor plan on main level and big unfinished basement, make the house feel a lot bigger than it is. Used the kayaks and paddle boat that are supplied by the owner and had a beautiful paddle out into superior. Wonderful spot for a vacation and we will be going back.
