Fantastic--house, location, and the Hosts! 30-ish minutes north of Portland. Perfectly on the ocean with amazing eastern baywater views, watching the tides, water access down steps to kayaks which are such a plus. Close to everything you would need in Freeport(10min) to take-out or bring back and cook. I think this abode would have anything you need--for activity or rest, for quiet, access to nature, on and on. The Hosts were likely the best I have ever engaged with for VRBO. They passionately helped with any of my questions for local recommendations and favorites places/things to do, etc. Their home is beautifully decorated, well appointed with every detail. My family loved all the spaces--outside in the adirondack chairs reading and staring at water, going to walk the shore at low tide and kayak, the big window in the dining room and the upstairs deck with large outdoor sofa and fireplace. Our three days were a perfect salve and a lovely respite. To the Hosts of The Tides, gratitude and cheers!

What an incredible place!! Our family of 7 was comfortable in this home with room to spare. We had a fantastic stay and only wish we could have stayed longer. Kayaking right behind the house was a highlight of our Maine trip. The hosts have thought of everything, even providing water shoes for walking on the rocks when wading in the water. The views, the fire pit, the incredibly comfortable beds… it was a dream stay, and we can’t get back fast enough!!
