Charmingly situated in the heart of downtown Northeast Harbor and mere minutes from Acadia National Park, this well-appointed suite will provide you with wonderful access to the town's shops and restaurants, as well as Acadia's gorgeous trails and lakes, while still offering the serene seclusion you desire. This suite is one of The Colonel's Suites, located just above Colonel's Restaurant and Bakery in quaint downtown Northeast Harbor on Mount Desert Island. You can easily walk to the harbor if you follow Main Street, Sea Street, and Harbor Drive, with a number of charming shops and restaurants located in the surrounding blocks. Best of all, the boundary of Acadia National Park is only one mile north, so you can quickly reach such landmarks as Jordan Pond, Bubble Pond, and Eagle Lake.

The living space is simple and comfortable, bringing together the living room, a small dining space, and a kitchenette with a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker to enjoy each morning. There are air-conditioners beneath the windows to use in the peak of summer, WiFi throughout the suite to keep you comfortable and connected, and a pair of cable TVs for your at-home entertainment - one in the living room and another in the bedroom.

We’re there during the Bluefin tuna tournament and could not have asked for a better location. Accommodations were perfect for us. This was the 2nd time we have stayed this summer and thoroughly enjoyed our stay both times. Highly recommended.

Completely Satisfied

Perfect location with so much to offer. Sitting of the deck watching the boats was so relaxing. The condo was very spacious and clean. Will be back next year.

Wonderful boothbay harbor!

This was one of the most relaxing vacation we have had. Also this location was breath taking. The water view at the marina was spectacular. People very friendly and enjoyed having the restaurant downstairs from our apartment.

Wonderful property and perfectly located

We came to Boothbay in October with our friends to enjoy the fall foliage. This property was perfectly located. We loved the views of the harbor from the balcony and the condo was absolutely lovely. Lots of space to spread out, great kitchen, very clean and well appointed. There is an amazing restaurant downstairs-the Whale’s Tail. The the food is absolutely with excellent service. We also loved the short walk to town to enjoy the shops and many other restaurants choices. All the staff in the marina where the condo is located are super friendly and really went out of their way to make our stay even better. We highly recommend this condo. You will not be disappointed.

Very Mixed Experience

Apart from the significant problem of the TV not connected to the cable, which meant no access to major national/international news networks (CNN, MSNBC FOX), the rental unit was fine. But I will not rent it again because of this problem.

Great time

Staying at the Carousel Marina is like no other VASCA experience for vacation. First, anyone renting should realize they will be staying at the actual marina and will be witness to all the activities that occur there – boats arriving, departing, people coming and going on the docks and the influx of people coming each night to enjoy cocktails, dinner and live music at the attached restaurant either inside or outside on the patio by the firepit. If you are fortunate enough to stay for an extended time you will feel that you are part of the “family” that owns and operates the marina. We had many interactions with the owners and staff that made our stay even more enjoyable. Evan, Desmond and Fooz (probably didin’t spell that correctly) were standouts for us. And, if you are lucky enough to stay during the Boothbay Harbor Tuna Challenge you will experience a whole different type of adventure. Put the app tuna on your phone and you will be notified of each boat’s approximate arrival time at the dock. You will have a front row seat to watch the contestants arrive with their catches and the weighing of each tuna. I would definitely stay there again. Five stars.

Great stay overlooking Marina

The inside of this property appeared to be all recently renovated. Positives: We loved the deck overlooking the Marina and sunsets at night although my family fought over the two comfy yellow deck chairs; they were awesome! We loved the location; could walk to Lobster Wharf and Coastal Prime (two of our favorite restaurants). It was also easy walking to the footbridge into town. We loved that this condo was pet friendly; our dog also loved hanging out on the deck and watching the marina activity and it was a nice walk to Barrett Park. We loved the little extras the condo provided like trash bags, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and a few small Dove toiletries in the bathroom. We have been to a lot of house rentals and you don’t often get those extras. The rental did provide both a full size coffee pot and a single cup maker that you could use k-cups with. Negatives and these really aren’t negatives and just more suggestions since this seems to be a new listing and these upgrades or additions would make everything truly perfect: Get a larger TV for the living room area. A TV cabinet on that wall with games and puzzles would be great for rainy days as the condo has a nice large dining table perfect for puzzles and games. Move the small TV into the bunk room since there is a couch in the room and it would be nice for the kids to have a hang out space and their own TV. Overall fantastic condo and stay!
