Comfortable and clean, this cottage was a great choice, especially for one couple. Kitchen was well appointed. Really appreciated the location (quiet neighborhood and convenient to Acadia). As another reviewer mentioned, it was an easy ride to the carriage roads. We borrowed bikes from the house, and they worked well for us. Would stay at this cottage again.

Acadia National Park stay

The house was lovely and clean. Our host provided clear instructions as well as a binder filled with all kinds of information on the area. It was a fantastic time!

Great location to the highlights of Acadia National Park. The Precipice, Beehive, Sand Beach area is only a 15-20 minute drive and Jordan Pond is only a few minutes away. We were easily able to ride bikes to Jordan Pond to get on the carriage roads. The house is great! We were commenting that if we ever had a getaway house, this layout would be perfect. Probably one of the better stocked kitchens with supplies, pots/pans, etc. that we have ever stayed at. Laundry is good and washer and dryer were clean. Welcome binder, books, and maps were super helpful with finding things to do and places to eat.

Family Visit to Acadia National Park

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The downstairs living room, dining room and kitchen areas had plenty of space and had lots of windows. We also enjoyed the large deck, but there was often loud music playing at the basketball court in the park next door. The upstairs sleeping area was a little tight on space but the bathroom worked well for us. We also used the guest house for a bedroom. It was comfortable, but it needs window coverings.

An MDI GemWe are so glad we found this charming MDI cottage. The location, in a quiet Seal Harbor neighborhood, with great mountain views from the front porch, was the ideal home base for our hiking/biking vacation. It's a quick, easy and safe bike ride to the carriage road gatehouse near Jordan Pond House. It's a short, pleasant drive to the Park Loop Road, Bar Harbor, and the quiet side of Acadia. The house was in immaculate condition when we arrived. It is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, and outfitted with guests in mind. The beds and furniture are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked (we cook). The yard and garden are lovely. Communication with Bruce was a pleasure. Kudos for the most comprehensive information book that we have found in any of our VRBO rentals. We would happily stay here again on our next MDI vacation.Pam & Bob G.Boston, MA

My wife and adult daughters were looking for a place to stay where we could easily hike into the park, and we were not disappointed. After dropping our bags in the house the first evening we walked up to Jordan Pond and back. Easy car access as well to many of the great hikes and climbs in the park. The beds were very comfortable although the sleeping space is relatively small in the main house. We weren't bothered by the limited divide between the bedrooms. The only bathroom is upstairs between them which does make it a chore for a person sleeping in the guest house to come in to use it at night. A very quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was clean and well stocked, and we used the outdoor grill and fire pit without any issues. The laundry facilities in the basement were clean and in good working order.Host interactions were easy and friendly. We would absolutely stay here again.
