Ce charmant cottage rustique se trouve Ă  une minute Ă  pied d’une belle plage rocheuse situĂ©e Ă  50 mĂštres. Dans la belle Hulls Cove. Vous pouvez marcher pendant des miles. Marchez vers des grottes appelĂ©es «Le four» http: // leavetheworldbelow. blogspot. com / 2017/10 / the-devils-four-mount-desert-island. htmlIt est Ă  cinq minutes du centre-ville de Bar Harbor et Ă  trois minutes de l’entrĂ©e du parc de Hulls Cove. Il est Ă  cinq minutes Ă  pied de la navette gratuite (The Island Explorer) Far Niente est calme et paisible. Il a une belle terrasse entourĂ©e de pins oĂč vous pourrez vous dĂ©tendre et faire un barbecue aprĂšs votre journĂ©e dans le parc. Far Niente (qui signifie «ne rien faire») est Ă©quipĂ© de toutes les commoditĂ©s. Far Niente est une belle maison dans les bois et oui, nous avons un visiteur occasionnel d’insectes.

Veuillez noter que de novembre à la fin avril, la cabine est fermée.

The cabin is wonderful - cozy and charming, especially with the beautiful layer of snow! The mattress in the loft is very comfortable. The host was very accommodating, kind and very helpful. Amazing host and location.

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to this cozy cabin with our dog on our first visit to Mt. Desert Island. It was full of detail and charm. It felt like the perfect size for a couple's getaway. The dog really enjoyed sleeping by the gas fire place as well. It met our needs for the week and very conveniently located as we hiked throughout the island. We also enjoyed having a little distance from the touristy bar harbor. Thank you John!

Perfect location, secluded outdoor space

Had a wonderful stay at this cottage. Perfectly located near Hulls Cove, close to Pirates Cove, a short walk to the ocean, and quick drive to downtown Bar Harbor. Especially loved the seated area for reading, and the private outdoor space and separate back bedroom. Perfect breeze at night!

Beautiful spot!

Super cozy space, excellent location just a short drive from Bar Harbor. Appreciated the fenced in yard for our dog, and the guitar since we were there to make some music. :)We can't wait to visit again!

A gem of a property, quiet wooded setting yet close to hiking and biking and in-town fun.The nicest host. Who makes it easy to feel immediately relaxed and at home. A true escape, beds so comfortable, decor so inviting. Like being at a summer camp for adults. With an excellent well-resourced kitchen too!

We had the most perfect vacation! This house and host are wonderful. John has thought of everything and the charm abounds! The location is perfect, close enough to Bar Harbor center but far enough away to have some peace and quiet. The short walk to the water is beautiful. We highly recommend this property!

Our expectations were high, and the place was even more charming than we expected. The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable, beautifully designed and decorated. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the tools we needed from making our morning coffee to cooking a lobster dinner. Although it is close to town, the dense woods made it feel cozy and secluded. The host was incredibly thoughtful, and always available to answer questions. This was a unique property, and we are hoping to come back again soon.

Adorable cottage and attentive host

The cottage was a great time for my partner and I. We wanted a relaxing getaway for our anniversary and this place provided just that! Very close to Bar Harbor and fairly easy to navigate the area. John stayed in touch and truly showed that he wanted us to have a great stay!

Close to Bar Harbor, you can still be in town quickly but enjoy the respite of not being right in town. And we do not charge a cleaning fee .
