Given that the unit faces west and is on a lower level, one never needs to get out of one's seat to see the pool and the bay. One can just chill on the comfortable Italian leather sofa or kitchen stools and watch the world go by without ever needing to walk up to the floor-to-ceiling windows or out on the balcony to look below.

About Owner

I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area, where I met my wife who is originally from Guadalajara. Subsequently, we got married on the beach in Puerto Vallarta and later dreamed of owning there. Currently, we reside in San Francisco and try to get down to Vallarta whenever we can. But when we're not there, we're happy when others have a chance to experience the beauty of Puerto Vallarta as well as the comfort of our home at Icon Vallarta.

Why Owner chose Hotel Zone

After deciding to pursue the dream of owning a beachfront property in Puerto Vallarta, we looked at all the options, including the purchase of an undeveloped lot in Nayarit. In fact, when a particular land deal fell through, we reassessed our needs and wants. In doing so, we decided that we didn't want to be too far away from all of the downtown restaurants, shops and attractions, yet we didn't want to live in the bustle of the city. Moreover, we wanted something turnkey, as we didn't want to burden my father-in-law to oversee any construction. Such thoughts led our search to the Hotel Zone, which provides the most convenient and highest quality developments. By chance, one of my wife's college classmates from Guadalajara recommended Icon Vallarta and another one was also selling pre-construction units there. Having previously stayed at a hotel down the street, we were very familiar with the location. Then after seeing the stunning drawings, models and computer renderings and hearing that Philippe Starck and the Related Group were associated with the project, we were sold and knew we had to buy here.

What makes this condo unique

Given that it's the only tower that faces due west, one always has a view of the endless bay and horizon. In fact, during certain times of the year, one can enjoy the sunset from anywhere in the living room. Being on the third floor, I enjoy what I call a 'lazy man's view', as I can be sitting on the couch with our favorite mobile device in hand (laptop, tablet or cell phone) and with the TV going in the background and not miss any action near the pool or in the bay. I can watch jet skis, speed boats and cruise ships go by and the fireworks at night. In addition, my wife likes the openness of the kitchen to the living room that further can extend out to the balcony as well as all the surrounding bonus space on the massive terrace off the kitchen and the bedrooms.

When I do finally decide to go outside my unit, I enjoy the resort-like amenities, such as the beautiful infinity edge pool, where I can sunbathe and be served a beverage; the jacuzzi, where I can soak and watch the surf; the beach bar, where I can have a cocktail at sunset; and the restaurants for breakfast or lunch.

And when I'm ready to leave the grounds, a convience store (Oxxo) is just outside the gate as well as a great breakfast place (Candora), along with a major supermarket (Soriana) that's just a block away.

From the moment we entered the Icon we knew things were going to be great. .The concierge were very helpful the bar and restaurant staff extremely nice and the unit was fabulous awesome views very comfortable would stay again. . Amazing Vacation Spot!

The condo is gorgeous, and the view is amazing. I really enjoyed relaxing on the giant balcony, and watching the sunset. The condo is extremely well-stocked, and beautifully decorated. The complex is fantastic, with wonderful pools, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the location as well. It is an easy walk to the grocery store, as well as some restaurants and shops, or a quick taxi ride to the Malecon or Marina. Steve was extremely responsive, and super easy to work with. I highly recommend this condo for an amazing place to stay in PV!

Vacation in Paradise !!

It's hard to know where to start. The condo is beautiful and has everything you could every want to make your vacation special. The interior is decorated to go with the setting. The view is magnificent. You can watch the cruise ships and luxury yachts sail by on the Pacific Ocean while dining in the restaurant on the beach. Everything is nearby - shopping malls, restaurants, the marina, etc. Taxis are very inexpensive and if your daring, you can hop on one of the many buses that provide service up and down the main street (right out front). The property is maintained with the highest standards. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

THANKS Steve for letting us share your little piece of paradise. We fell in love with both your condo and Puerto Vallarta and will definitely include a return trip at some time in the future.

Beautiful vacation spot

I loved Steve and Magaly's condo! Our first time renting a condo rather than an all inclusive and it was a hit all around! We are already planning our trip back for next year!

Kitchen was well stocked and it was under a 5 minute walk to a grocery store and 15 minutes to the Sam's Club and Walmart.

Great location, great condo!

From the time that we confirmed that we were renting Stephen and Magaly's condo they were extremely helpful with information and details of the area. We followed their very detailed instructions from arriving at the airport and getting a cab to the walking path to the local grocery store. The condo unit, pool, beach and staff at the Icon were perfect!! The unit had an amazing view and breeze so opening up the full sliding glass panels made you feel like you were outside. We enjoyed cooking in their well stocked kitchen and made many trips to the excellent grocery store that was just outside the gates as well as the local outside market that was a few blocks away.

The beach was excellent to swim in and the pool always had lots of room. The beach could be walked for miles and the local beach bar Oasis was a great place to spend the late afternoon watching the sunset.
