About Luann Doll
This was purchased as a joint venture, between myself (and husband Pat), bestie Lisa and Pat's cousin Tim (also know as tool time Tim, Cabana Boy, and garage boy. lol
Luann Doll purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Luann Doll chose Argonne
This property is located a short distance from a cabin owned by my husband's family. Property went up for sale when the economy took a turn for the worse. We would drive by it every time we went to our cabin and finally Lisa said, let's check out that cottage...and here we are.
What makes this Cabin unique
The 3 bedrooms, full bath and dining room have been remodeled. The walls are now log and have hardwood floors and/or new carpet. It is just beautiful. We plan to continue to remodel the rest in time. The cottage is ready for rent!!! The lake is quiet and you won't see much boat traffic, it is a small lake. You can enjoy the loons from the dock, or listen to them calling from inside the cottage. The sunrise is OUTSTANDING... if you can get up that early to see it. I know some of you can!
The lakeside cabin was very accommodating for our family of 6.
The cabin is on an ideal piece of lakeside property. With fall just around the corner the colors of the leaves were beginning to change making it a picturesque setting. The fireplace inside of the cabin gave us a warm and cozy atmosphere on a chilly nite. The cabin is well equipped with all the necessities. Beds are extremely comfortable. Well maintained!
Glad to hear that you enjoyed our cabin!
Hope you got some trail riding in while you were here.
You and your family are welcome back anytime.
All seasons have much to offer, spring, summer, fall and winter!
Thank you for your nice review!
we had such a great time! thank you so much for sharing your home with us. the house was so well stocked with everything from a corkscrew to dish tv!
Perfect family getaway on a small, quiet lake!
We really enjoyed our stay and honestly do not have anything negative to say about the place. The kids swam off of the dock daily as we had perfect weather all 5 days. The sun may have been a little warm at times but the back yard has plenty of shade right next to the lake and we spent a bunch of our time just hanging out in chairs with cold beverages. We were so glad that we were able to bring our dog (Mini Schnauzer) along and he had a blast.
The lake is small but I ended up really enjoying its size. I fished around the lake every day and caught some really nice largemouth bass...not sure if there is huge population of bass in the lake, but the ones I caught were very healthy with the largest being 19.5". Bring your topwater buzzbaits and frogs for the lily pads...super fun.
The cabin is perfect...the parking lot driveway is perfect...the dock with power to charge trolling motor batteries is perfect...the remote location is perfect. We can't wait to get back up there!
Thanks Chad! We are happy you enjoyed your stay at our lake cottage/cabin!!
You are welcome back anytime!!
We had a wonderful relaxing time. The cabin is great. We loved the brand new grill.
The lake is very calm and would love to come back next summer.
A perfect place for a quite family vacation.
Peaceful and beautiful!
Great place to get away for a family vacation! The house itself is a good size and is well taken care of. There was total of 7 of us and we had no problem fitting in there. The yard is simply beautiful and spacious! You can oversee the dock and lake right of the dining room! The sunrise and sunset is awesome to look at! Fishing Of the dock is great! (No luck fishing but still enjoyable). Listening to bullfrogs at night by bonfire just adds to the great outdoor mood. Watching hummingbirds is incredible! They flew in every few minutes and were pretty close. There are great hiking, bicycle and atv trails! We rented atvs from a town nearby and had a blast!! We had a very poor reception and no wifi but honestly i loved it! We used the phone just for pictures and enjoyed every minute of it! Definitely a place to come back to!
We are glad you enjoyed our lake cottage!
Depending on what cell service you have, reception can be spotty. With my phone, I find that if I stand at the end of the pier I get pretty good reception.
CJ's Bar down the road has Free WIFI if needed. We like that our guests get out and enjoy the Northwoods!
You are WELCOME back anytime!!
Gorgeous cabin, clean beach..
We had a great time! Although the weather wasn't the best most of the trip, that didn't take away from how beautiful this cabin was. Fishing from the dock was great. I caught my biggest fish of the year off the dock.. 18 inch, 5lb bass. Lots of perch and smaller pan fish to catch off the dock/shore. Very shallow lake but still was so very calm without traffic which was great. Kitchen is well stocked with all you'd need, satellite dish worked great, and the two bathrooms was a plus. Cell reception was awful so it truly is a get away northwood type feel... but you can make calls from the dock easily. Main Street Ed's about 15 min away is delicious! Overall our time was great. Thank you to the great owners!
Thank you! We are glad you had a great stay and congrats on that Bass!
Hope to see you back in the future!
