Beautiful apartment, quite large for the area. The host, Gianluca, was immediately responsive to all our questions. Upon arrival he had people waiting to welcome us and show us around. He was flexible, allowing me to bring two cats instead of just one. We immediately felt right at home. The apartment is situated between two bus stops, very important for an elderly disabled person. The kitchen is small but functional, equipped with a smoke detector and fire extinguisher, convection oven, microwave/grill and dishwasher. The dining room table seats six. The small private courtyard has a washing machine and basin for hand laundry. It's also an easy walk from a good laundromat for larger loads. The Duomo Is practically around the corner, and we were there for Easter, when a magnificent spectacle took place with a parade, music and costumes, and a cart filled with explosives and fireworks in the Piazza.A hospital is around the corner and also a 24-hour veterinary clinic. A well-stocked pharmacy is an easy walk away, with excellent English-speaking pharmacists.Gianluca even helped me find a church to accept my donations of a multifunction printer and a Rollator walker that I bought to use but couldn't take home with me.Great experience. Excellent host.
