This oceanfront house is in the Taft area of Lincoln City (near Mo's). The views are fantastic, because it's about 65 feet up. It overlooks the beach, Siletz Bay, and the rocks in front of Spanish Head, which are beautifully lit up at night. It has a very private oceanfront porch and yard with vacant treed lot next door. We've rented this house out for quite a while, we stay here whenever we can. We take loving care of it. We pay attention to the details: comfortable clean beds with good linens, comfortable furniture. The kitchen is stocked with all the knives, pans, and spices you'll need to cook, and has a gas stove.
The main floor has vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, a floor to ceiling rock gas fireplace, and an open, lodge-like design. The living room has two seating areas (one for watching TV). Two bathrooms are on the main floor. The three bedrooms (two with excellent ocean views and one with a partial view) and a half bath are on the top floor. Technological amenities include flat screen TV with dish network, espresso machine, broadband internet with WiFi, Wii. There is an eat-in kitchen with counter and stools, plus oceanfront dining room. Ping pong in the basement. Stairs to beach are 300 feet north.
We have optional sit-on-top kayaks for paddling around in the Siletz Bay when the tide is slack. They are not sea kayaks and may not be used in the ocean. A per kayak rental for your entire stay, a credit card security deposit, and a signed waiver will get you out paddling with the seals. You can drop a crab trap out in the middle of the bay for a bigger haul than you'll ever get from shore. They are light enough that two people can carry one down to the bay, or you can take them in your truck. Life jackets are provided and required.
