Provides tranquility and joyful experience
Boundless panoramic views of the blue sea and colorful sky; the soothing delight of watching the endless delights of this massive God's creation, including the little white waves created by the coral reefs below the property; and the endless beautiful portrait of water as it changes its shades of blue and green punctuated by the sea traffic of cruise ships, ferry boats, and sail boats as they pass-by to and from the harbor of Charlotte Amalie,
The building architecture is another source of delight; it embodies a Caribbean flavor of open rafter ceilings, Spanish balusters that sound the house, some Roman architecture, decks and more deck space to enjoy as one explores the leisurely thoughts of the mind.
The views were awesome! The only problem was that the pool was not kept clean. It had begun to turn green. Over all , we had a great time!
I rented this villa for my birthday for a 2 part trip with my friends first 3 nights and then my fiancé' 2 nights. I have to say I was really nervous about booking a home online but credit this service and the owner Dr. Kabuka for making that process very comfortable and reassuring. The property was everything the description says and more, the pictures on the website really do not do it proper justice! The accommodations were spot on for my group and there was not a care in the world as far as our comfort level. The kitchen had all the comforts of home and we even left behind some spices for future house mates:) It really felt like I was waking up at home daily. Abi beach was a great treat, we enjoyed the short hike down the hill (4 mins) and back up to the house (6 mins). The bar, food and rentals at Abi beach were perfect for the days we did not feel like moving too far away from the property and still wanted to enjoy the beauty of the St. Thomas Beaches (the girls and I had a full on photoshoot LOL). The best part of our stay by far was the property manager Marcus Duncan. From the moment Marcus met us at the airport we were greeted with the kindness and warmth of a family member. Whether it was showing my friends and I around the city to taking us to the grocery store, Marcus was there to meet to our every need. Acting as a local tour guide once my fiancé arrived, Marcus made him feel very welcome to the island.... I would have to say he had an immediate friend in him! We have never thought of a destination wedding but our visit and stay at Little Taj by the Sea has given us something to ponder over for sure! We will definitely return and recommend this home to our friends and family!
I rented this villa at the very last minute for a photo shoot. The owner Solomon contacted me immediately and was nothing but accommodating even though he had other guests leaving and arriving on the same days as us. The villa was clean and he also followed up to ensure that we had everything we needed and were happy. He also sent someone to pick us up from the airport and get situated at the villa upon arrival. The AC in the rooms worked impeccably and we had nice ocean breezes for the main areas--the terrace is has amazing views and the pool area is perfect for lounging. Everyone I was with enjoyed the property and did not have any complaints. I would highly recommend it!
Wonderful stay at Little Taj by the Sea! The property is well maintained and more beautiful than the pictures on the website. The house was clean, the kitchen was well stocked. Marcus was absolutely delightful & tended to our every need. Also enjoyed Abi Beach very much. It's a short walk or drive down the hill and it is a well kept secret. I've been coming to St Thomas for many years and this is the first time I've heard of Abi Beach. There is a nice tiki bar there where they have a brunch on Sunday as well as a live band. There are plenty of beach chairs as well as rentable pedal boats and other assorted floatables. Possibly the best thing about our stay at Little Taj by the Sea was the handicapped accessibility as I am temporarily handicapped. Can't say enough good things about our stay here. Will definitely be returning ASAP & would definitely recommend this property for a perfect vacation!
This can be the only one word that describes our recent stay at Little Taj. From the moment we met Marcus to the minute we left, my husband and I had one of the most beautiful and enjoyable getaways we’ve ever had.
The estate of Little Taj is both a refuge and a luxury. We had complete privacy, which we really desired; while St. Thomas is well-populated, the location and positioning of Little Taj provided our own personal harbor from the rest of the world. Yet if you want to be active, a path right outside your door leads to a lively beach, including water sport options, and Charlotte Amalie is just a few-minutes drive away.
The home is beautifully maintained; inside, the common areas are gorgeous including a living area with marble flooring and perhaps the most comfortable seating we’ve ever experienced. The kitchen provides all necessary amenities, which made cooking easy and completely fun. And the master bedroom was heavenly – we both were amazed at how well we slept every evening. Remarkably, Little Taj accommodates a couple like ourselves as well as a large group – next time, we will be inviting our family/friends to join us!
Outside, the terrace hosts the perfect pool for refreshment & relaxation. Even more, each point of the terrace looks out onto the water with 180-degree views, letting you watch the sun both rise and set while enjoying the boating activities throughout the day and the stars at night. With the views and island flora surrounding you, Little Taj is a paradise.
We also want to personally recognize the owner, Dr. Kabuka, for his seemingly endless generosity and hospitality. His warmth was felt in every communication and resonates throughout his home. We can’t thank him enough for truly, an extraordinary experience.
This property has amazing views of Frenchman's Bay with lots of outdoor living space including a small swimming pool, ocean front veranda, and 180 degree views of beautiful Frenchman's Bay.
The house is clean and the bedrooms are roomy and nicely furnished. The house is a typical island house that has been remodeled, with added rooms and space. As with most island homes, the water pressure is not very good so don't expect a steaming hot shower. I recommend the owner invest in kitchen items like can opener, wine opener, and nicer appliances like newer coffee maker, etc. The dishwasher was broken during our stay, but fortunately we had a small group so I was able to work around washing dishes. The house is very inviting with nice touches like beach towels and sunscreen available to guest. I feel house is priced right for the amenities offered, and the owner manages the size of the house available to renters, by locking bedrooms that are not being used based on the number of people in each party. If you are looking for luxury, expect to pay more. But if you would like to rent a nice home that's a value for your family, this house is a greart option.
The property manager, Marcus, was very nice and was always available for questions and assistance in anyway. I would recommend this house if you want to rent a house in St. Thomas, "local style". The house is also greatly located to shopping and restaurants.
Secluded sparsely occupied neighborhood providing a tranquil environment. Warm/temperate weather all year round.
A walk down to any of the three beaches, topped off with a dive in the warm Caribbean water sets the pace for the day or a fitting closing to a day full of shopping at Heaven Site Dock Mall, or the tourists' shopping Mecca downtown Charlotte Amalie, or Tutu Mall the local residents' favorite shopping; or could be the end of a day touring of St Thomas' unending scenic delights of hills and mountain views, the local vendors bazaar, water sports, enjoying the local cooking and select restaurants or whatever your fancy.
