About Angela

My husband and I are ocean lovers and live for fishing and diving whenever we can. It has always been our dream to have our own oceanfront property on Vancouver Island where we can escape to with our kids and family and enjoy doing the things we love!

Why Angela chose Ladysmith

We have enjoyed this property for the last several years since our kids were little and just had to own it. My husband spent many summers as a kid himself with his family in the rustic cabins next to our resort and had so many fond memories. After the first year we stayed here we knew we just found our hidden gem and wanted to provide a gathering place for our family for years to come!

What makes this condo unique

We fell in love with this place because it has everything we dreamed of. Breathtaking panoramic oceanfront views where you can watch the sun rise and the ocean come to life every morning, a dock to moor our fishing boat, a gorgeous heated outdoor pool and hot tub for the kids to enjoy, a calm bay for kayaking, hordes of tidal pools to explore, fresh seafood right from the dock, tennis courts, massive green spaces and playground for the kids, ocean-side fire pit in the evening... the condo is 2 bedroom and is the top far end unit so it is the most private of all the units with the best unobstructed views nestled among the trees ... there is plenty of room to share our vacation with guests. To top it all off the resort is off the beaten path so it is quiet and safe for our family... feels like you are at a resort on your own island yet it is only 16 minute drive to the airport or 29 minutes to the ferries. Diving, golfing, museums, restaurants, shopping, wildlife tours, farmers markets, and more... are all a short drive away. We feel like it can't get any better and that we are the luckiest family to have a premium property where we feel is God's best kept secret.

Island Paradise

  • 5 of 5

We have been coming to this unit since 2002 . We have stayed in three other condos in the same complex, but this one is by far our favorite. It has, we think, the best views, is beautifully decorated, and is extremely quiet and private . There is constant entertainment from the birds, the sea life, wildlife, and the marine traffic...all so visible right from the deck or the shore

Angela has been the owner for several years now, and she has put much care and thought into decorating, furnishings, and providing exceptional kitchen appliances, dishes ,and linens. Everything you would possibly want is provided. The two decks, both very quiet and private, add to the overall enjoyment, no matter what the weather.

The condo is perfectly situated for easy day trips to a variety of entertainment, shopping, and restaurant choices, Is very close to the Nanaimo airport, and only ninety scenic minutes from Victoria airport. A car is highly recommended.

Awesome Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was awesome. It was great to have a nice place to go back to after doing day trips in the area. We visited Butchard Gardens, Port Alberni, long beach, Ucluelet & Tofino. The Crow & Gate pub was fantastic as was the bake shop in Ladysmith. Overall it was a great vacation.

Condo was perfect. Everything you might need was there.

  • 5 of 5

Beds were very comfortable, lots of room to spread out in living room. Kitchen was fully stocked. Kids loved the pool and exploring the shore line. Very relaxing to sit on the deck and drink our coffee each morning and watch the sea lions, bald eagle, baby bunnies and what we think was a blue heron in the evening. Lots to see and do in the area.

A really lovely experience !

  • 4 of 5

We recently spent 11 nights in this lovely ,comfortable and homely condo in a small resort. This is perhaps the best located condo in this resort with uninterupted views of the sea, islands, boats and wildlife. We were able to watch the wonderful hummingbirds who visited the balcony daily and also the bald eagles. We took walks along the rocky beach and feel asleep to the sound of the waves at night. We just felt ourselves unwinding and didnt venture far from the resort for the first 3 to 4 days. The condo is well equipped. The resort has a large outdoor heated pool and a hot tub if you dont fancy the brisk Pacific Ocean for a swim - my husband was determined to have a swim in the Pacific and was glad of the hot tub afterwards ! A car is a necessity for shopping etc.We took a day trip to Victoria which we enjoyed and we went whale watching from Cowichan Bay.As the condos do not have air conditioning ,we found that it could get very warm when the sun shone. The downstairs bedroom has blackout curtains which keep the room cool and dark so that you can sleep comfortably and not wake too early in the morning. It would make such a difference if the other bedroom upstairs had the same curtains and also if the velux windows in the living room had blinds. While we were there we found that the resort gardening times were excessive and unnecessarily noisy - the resort leaflet markets itself as a place of Rest & Relaxation.Overall though , we really loved this place and would highly recommend it.It is certainly one of the nicest settings with the best views that we have visited.

Beautiful and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this place! The unit is well-equipped with everything you need (although I could not for the life of me figure out how to run the coffee grinder! :-P)

The beach is beautiful, and the location is remote (a couple miles drive to the closest amenities), but Ladysmith is actually a very cute little town, and Nanaimo isn't far away.

The hot tub was hot and clean, with an amazing view. We had it all to ourselves every evening. The pool wasn't heated while we were there, but it was filled and clean and perfect for my teenagers who wanted to jump in for a quick cool-down after the hot tub.

The master bedroom is great--on a separate floor, quiet and dark, and the bed is very comfortable--great mattress and pillows.

Overall, this made for a great spring-break get-away!

Owner's Response: We are happy you enjoyed your stay and the condo and found it to be cozy and comfortable! For those of us who love sleeping in the dark the master room black out blinds are great. We will look into instructions for the coffee grinder :) Look forward to having you and your family back again in the future! Angela
