About Amanda Baxter

We built the cabins on our farm in 2000. We are two miles from the VA Horse Center. These cabins are ideal for people showing horses at the Horse Center because we are two miles away. Only 5 miles from downtown Lexington.

Amanda Baxter purchased this cabin in 2000

Why Amanda Baxter chose Shenandoah Valley

You feel like you are way out in the country because of the surrounding farms and pastures yet you are minutes from downtown Lexington. We have the best of both worlds. The views of the Blue Ridge are beautiful.

Great cabin close to Virginia Horse Center!

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at this cabin while attending a weekend horse show. It was the perfect home away from home with everything we needed! It was so relaxing to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the beautiful mountain views. We would definitely stay here again!

So relaxing

  • 5 of 5

My family really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The weather was amazing. The property views are amazing. We enjoyed our walk to the pond and the kids enjoyed the canoe. As we hiked back up the mountain we got to pet some horses, which my daughter loved. Thank you for such a welcoming experience !! Can't wait to visit again. Julie S

Wonderful country views and location

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our short stay at Lazy Acres. Lexington is a wonderful little town with great eateries and an array of interesting little shops. Lazy acres itself is not far from town, and offers a nice "farm stay "experience. Dogs are welcome which we really appreciated, and the owner allows you to roam throughout the large property. The cabin we stayed in was meticulously clean and well equipped. We will definitely be coming back again in the spring when things warm up.

Peaceful, pasture setting, beautiful view of mountains - LOVELY!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed three peaceful days in one of the cottages on the farm. The cabin has all of the comforts of home - charming and cozy. The owners have thought of everything! They even welcomed our Rhodesian Ridgeback pup who enjoyed meeting the horses and running the grounds. The view of the mountains is outstanding from the property and the cabins are within minutes of the historic district. I will recommend Lazy Acres Farm to everyone!!
