Perfect for two.

My wife and I stayed at this lovely casita for five nights and found it to be ideal for our needs. The place is perfect for a couple and had everything that we needed for a pleasant stay. The location is convenient to many excellent attractions including being within walking distance to the Plaza and many great restaurants (a little over a mile to walk to the Plaza).

The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We had breakfast and some days lunch at the casita but for dinner we went out to sample the amazing restaurants in the area (our favorites were The Shed, Tomasita’s and the Blue Corn Café). There are grocery stores nearby (Albertson’s is a short drive) for supplies.

Overall the casita is clean, comfortable and inviting. There was plenty of room for us. Our favorite location was the outside space. We spent each afternoon noon relaxing on the patio.

Barbara was great to work with. She was prompt to reply to our questions and provided a lot of very useful information about the casita and the area around Santa Fe. Casita Soledad was a real winner for us. I would certainly stay here when we next visit Santa Fe.

A very beautiful home - inside and out. Quiet neighborhood. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. A lovely three day stay - we walked downtown every day. Easy to find. Very pleasant.

It's taken me longer than I had hoped to submit this review because I was afraid my post-wedding brain would be too jumbled to find the words this property deserves. I'm ready! My husband and I stayed at the Casita for our honeymoon which was also our first trip to Santa Fe. I know it's referred to as "The Land of Enchantment" and the Casita was no different. Every inch of the Casita is straight out of a BH&G magazine:Santa Fe Edition. Spotless, charming, stocked, cozy, literally around the corner from the Railyard (go to the Farmers Market on Saturday in the morning and cross directly across the street to the row of artists tents. Talk about fresh produce, unique items directly from the makers, handmade everything, great crowd and beautiful surroundings.) We drove from St. Louis and pulled right into the convenient carport, went through the gate into the gorgeous (very secure with tall walls, perfect) backyard and into the Casita. Any/all questions you may have? Barbara is the Hostess Extroardinaire. We never met in person, but anything you need is in the binder or there's a post it note to answer the question before you even think of it. She was a text away and was right there to give my husband suggestions on how to battle my disagreement with the altitude. Everyone knows you're supposed to stay hydrated before and during and I'm the strange bird that only drinks fountain soda...ONLY. Everything you need is nearby also. Pharmacy, gas station, Urgent Care if you're clumsy, Starbucks, cute shops, restaurants, etc.)

I get wordy when I'm excited and when someone deserves praise!! Again, we drove so we drove to The Plaza to haul our purchases back, BUT there's so much to see around the Casita that it would be an easy/lovely 15 min. walk or about 6 min drive. Park at a meter and get your shop on. LOOK NO FURTHER. I MEAN IT! We already miss it! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Sweet Barbara! Standing ovation from Adam and I.

Love,

Lauren & Adam

Well Appointed. Charming. Private.

  • 5 of 5

Easy access. Carport. Gated. Can walk to the square but most will probably drive or take the free shuttle. Quick exit out St Francis if you are headed to places like Ghost Ranch and Taos....Inside was well appointed down to paper towels, laundry detergent and lots of blankets and pillows. Charming adobe style. Nicely furnished. Can sleep 4 if you include the sofa bed but really recommend it for 2 as you have to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. Two outside patios nice for dining or just hanging out...The owner was easy to work with and the neighbors are quiet (although if you listen hard enough you can hear the traffic on St Francis/hgwy 25)...Priced a little higher than some of the other places we checked out but would definitely stay again.
