About Linda Dominisse

I bought the cabin in 1998 with my dear parents inheritance and have spent many wonderful days there. It is my paradise - Home away from Home!!

Linda Dominisse purchased this cabin in 1998

Why Linda Dominisse chose Lake Almanor

I picked this property because of the feel of the community and all the wonderful people around. The location was so perfect.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin is across the street from Carol's Café and down the street from Marvin Alexander beach and picnic area within walking distance. I even provide a wagon to haul the kids or the picnic basket to the beach! Such a great location....

Great well-stocked house. Everything worked well. Easily sleeps 11

Older remodeled house. Very roomy and a great deck. Be prepared for a few little mice to join your vacation😜? High rails around the deck make it a little nerve racking for small children. Excellent kitchen for a lot of people. I would rent this house again.

We'll BE back!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

The house was great. Lots of room, had everything we needed. Can't wait to come again.

So sorry the cleaning folks FORGOT to clean the BBQ & top of gas range it was coved with bacon grease. See ya next summer. The location of this house is PERFECT for summer fun, so close to the Lake.

Family Holiday at Lake Almanor

  • 5 of 5

3 generations of the family together for a week. Potential for conflict was high. The spacious home gave everyone their own space, wonderful. The property is in close proximity to everything you might need. We had a great time together, undoubtedly the property made it easy to be together. We swam, fished and had picnics every day.

Older cabin with a lot of room and a lot of character.

  • 5 of 5

We had 5 adults staying at the cabin with 2 small dogs. The house could easily have accommodated twice that many. A washer and dryer is available, but we didn't use it. It's only a 10 minute walk to the beach (if you're carrying beach chairs). The best restaurant at Lake Almanor is directly across the street.

The oven door doesn't close properly, so don't plan on baking if you go. Who goes to the lake to bake?

We hauled a lot of stuff with us we didn't need. This place is really well stocked. Things like spices, paper towels, dishes are all there, as well as coffee filters.

Just bring sheets, towels, and food and you will be happy.

The weather was perfect for our stay, so we spent most of our time on the large deck.

The house is old and had a few problems, but nothing that interfered with our enjoyment. The owner was very responsive to all our communications, and the place was very clean.

We would recommend this highly

Good location but...

  • 2 of 5

Overall this cabin is in a very nice part of the lake but needs some work to put it on par with other rentals.

Sheets were not supplied which is inconvenient if you don't have the right sized sheets at home. Also to enter all of the upstairs bedrooms, you must go through the master bedroom downstairs. The master bath and tub are great. The main kitchen and living room area is very cozy. The kitchen is well stocked. it's appreciated that this is a dog friendly property. Woof.

Quiet, handy, peaceful and a very hospitable environment

  • 5 of 5

What a nice place for a family. Our family of 4 adults and 2 teens enjoyed our stay. Kitchen had everything we needed. Front porch was lovely,

large and peaceful. The neighborhood was safe, friendly and quiet. Right across the street from the lake and Carol's restaurant for a great lunch

or breakfast. The owner was quick with responses to questions. Everything was as advertised. Lake Almanor is a very wonderful vacation spot in California, but being close to everything and comfy, safe, and replete with amenities throughout the house was just icing on the cake. We had a wonderful stay and will be back. Be ready for a summer bat show at night!!! Really awesome!!!

Car: necessary

What a place for nature and outdoor lovers! The mountain air is so clean and the trees are amazingly tall. Prattville is different from anywhere else around Lake Almanor. You almost feel like you are in middle of a campground but without the hassle of camping. There are trails to walk or bike, a beach a short walk down the road for the kids to swim in safely a marina right across the street for your boat and Carols café also across the street. Plumas Pines about 1/2 mile down has a great restaurant and a great bar with dancing at night in the summer. There are three gulf courses in the area to please every level of play. The lake has all the water sports, from skiing to wake boarding, to kiaking and of course wonderful fishing and hunting.
