The cabin has everything you could need and was super clean and cozy. Great location right next to the lake. Debbie was great, met us when we checked in and showed us the place. Will certainly stay again.

This cabin was amazing. All the pictures did not do this place justice. My wife & I had a great time
My wife and I had a great time. The view of the lake was spectacular.
We have stayed here several times in both the winter and summer, and each time is always a great experience. The cabin is comfortable and clean, and the view of the lake is tremendous!!

Just lovely!!!
We truly enjoyed our weekend getaway! This is an amazing gem and really enjoyable in the off season! The cabin is well laid out and cozy. The kitchen has everything you need and I love to cook! The fireplace is perfect. Gorgeous sunrise and sunset. It is only getting 4 stars because the cabin is in desperate need of deep cleaning. The dust and cobwebs coat the logs on the wall, deer hanging (cobwebs from its nose) and kitchen cabinets need serious attention. We just chose to ignore that as to not dampen the experience. We will definitely be back and recommend this highly. Thank you Ken!!!!

Dena, We would like to thank you for your review of our KC log cabin and staying with us. We appreciate all your comments and have taken careful attention to an early deep spring cleaning, as you have mentioned. We have the entire interior of the log cabin professionally cleaned, including the vacuuming,, scrubbing, and polishing of all the logs, cabinets, baseboards, wall, and ceilings. It looks absolutely amazing. We look forward to having you stay with us again in the future.

Great cabin on the lake
We rented the cabin in December, for Christmas holidays. Great looking and cozy cabin, right by the lake. Comfortable bed. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Quiet location in winter time.
Walk to recreational trail. Short drive to Chester to get to national forest to ski.
Owner was very responsive, provided detailed directions to the cabin, made sure everything is working for us.

Why they chose this property
This property is special because it is located in one of the most unique, well-kept secrets of northern California. What makes this property unique
Lake Almanor was constructed by Great Western Power Company in 1914. The name Almanor originated by combining the names of three sisters - Alice, Martha, and Elinor - daughters of Guy C. Earl, Vice-President of Great Western Power Company. The lake now stores 1,308,000 acre feet of crystal clear blue water and is 13 miles long and 6 miles wide.
