Relaxing and luxurious

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed in Dianne's lovely harbor front home for 9 days during July. We couldn't have been happier! This is the way to live on vacation....the three of us could spread out and have our own place instead of sharing a 250 sf single typical hotel room with a bath! The 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is stocked with everything one would need or want: thick fluffy towels, delightful soaps and shampoo, washer & dryer, comfy beds with good quality linens; binoculars, monocular, and a kitchen that has EVERYTHING with appliances that are like new!

The living and dining overlook a view of Gig Harbor that is sublime!

The looooong slow summer sunsets from the deck are breathtaking.....with the last blush of summer sunsets stretching towards 10:00 pm. The deck is two levels with seating and a nice sized table for dining. There is a hot tub spa which we didn't get the chance to use, but our nephews enjoyed. We used the kayaks (2) but not the stand up paddle board which are provided on the shared dock.

Dianne responds quickly and is such a friendly person that I hope we didn't bother her too much! We even met her neighbor, also very friendly.

The location is perfect, you could walk (1 mile +) to the restaurants or kayak as some reviewers did.

What a dream vacation! This home is perfection, don't hesitate to make that reservation as another reviewer said before!

Beautiful home and sunsets on the water

  • 5 of 5

Our family immensely enjoyed this home in Gig Harbor. The proximity to the restaurants and use of the dock was priceless. I could not recommend this place more. If you are considering arriving by boat, The dock extends out far enough and is more than adequate for a draft of 8 foot. The home is stocked with everything, unlike most rentals. There is more than enough sheets, blankets and kitchen essentials. In addition, you will feel as if you are being taken care of by a family member. It doesn't feel like a vacation rental but rather feels like your second home. We absolutely loved the small touches and the hot tub on the deck. In addition, the west facing home makes it an ideal spot to watch the sunsets and enjoy the serenity. The home is super clean. What wonderful vacation spot. Ifyou are considering renting a home in Gig Harbor, I wouldn't look past this Beautiful and charming home. Rent it immediately. You will not be disappointed.

Beautifully and lovingly maintained property, serene with gorgious views and a delicious welcome

  • 5 of 5

We reserved this property because a friend effused to my wife about how great it is. (The friend has stayed there several times.) I was skeptical, thinking that it couldn't possibly live up to its billing. But it does. In fact, it exceeded. The owner had several delicious treats waiting for us when we arrived. We immediately felt at home. The view of the harbor is unobstructed and gorgeous. We could have sat on the deck and watched the boats come and go for hours. But there was no time for that with so much to do within driving distance. Seattle is less than an hour east. Olympia National Park is 1.5 - 2 hours west, depending on which entrance you take. Tacoma is 20 minutes or less. And even when we did hang around the house, there is plenty to do, with kayaks and a paddleboard free for the guests' use. Oh...and the hot tub! The kitchen is fully equipped and we cooked several meals. We bought most of our own food, but when we realized we were missing something, there it was in the pantry, cupboard, or refrigerator. When we did eat out, there were great restaurants nearby. Try the fish 'n chips and clam chowder at Tides Tavern. (But if you have kids under 21, you have to get the food to go.) On our first morning in the house a bald eagle flew past the window, and we saw them several other times as we sat on the deck and kayaked in the harbor. The whole experience was magical. I will definitely recommend this home to others.

Wonderful Location, Great Home!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay very much. Dianne is a great host, very responsive and her home was well appointed for a week long stay. Beautiful view of the harbor, loved the hot tub, kayaks and paddle board. If we make a return trip to this area, we would definitely book again with Dianne. For those making their first trip to the area, Gig Harbor was ideally located for what we wanted to do. 50 minute drive to Seattle - easy day trip and stayed for a dinner. Great location if you want to visit Olympic National Park and Mount Rainier National Park. Under 2 hours drive to each park. We went for day hikes in both parks and really enjoyed the soothing hot tub while watching the sunset afterwards. Dianne's Gig Harbor restaurant suggestions are excellent - follow her advice.

Beautiful view, great house

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely five-day stay at Dianne's place - the views are gorgeous, the beds are comfortable, the house is very clean and very well equipped. We used the kayaks and paddle board every day which was great. Dianne was a generous host, leaving us lovely wine, coffee and pumpkin bread and being very flexible for check in and out. Thanks Dianne!
