As seen on HGTV, NY Times, Travel and Leisure, Conde Nast and dozens of travel media, our 727 overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Manuel Antonio National Park. Now a 2 bedroom 2 bath home, the re-purposed 727 is acclaimed as one of the most unique and fantastic experiences in the jungles of Costa Rica.

The airplane, nestled beside the rain forest, is perched on a custom-built platform 15 meters (50 feet) up from the ground. At this height our guests enjoy scenic ocean and jungle views from both the airplane windows and the outdoor soaking tub on the handcrafted decks atop the wings.

Boarding the 727, you will see the lovingly restored local teak wood using Costa Verde‘s renowned innovation. You will admire the exquisite wood paneled fuselage with three queen size beds, two bathrooms, TV, AC, kitchenette and safety deposit.

When the 727 is booked, please look at our romantic Cockpit Cottage , sleeps 2 people in a meticulously repurposed cockpit . VRBO listing 1068248. Or book both if your group requires sleeping for 8. Wake to the roar of the howler monkeys, and have coffee with the playful spider and white faced monkeys to start your day. Fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TV, a total of 3 Queen beds and 2 large outdoor over the wing deck/ balconies of polished teak and handcrafted furnishings make this flight of fancy a truly unforgettable vacation home. Monkeys , sloths, acoutis, and over 184 species of birds will become your neighbors, greeting you in your private jungle paradise.

You are a short downhill walk to the white sand beach and the shops and nightlife of Manuel Antonio.
Adjacent to our resort, you will enjoy the 3 pools, one is adult only with a pool bar, 4 restaurants, maid service and tour/ concierge services within a few minutes walk or a call to the bilingual front desk. Free Internet. The closest airport is Quepos, or San Jose International airport which is aprox 2.5 hours drive. Arrangements can be made to pick you up at either.

Pez Vela Marina in Quepos is home to some of the best sport fishing in Costa Rica, with daily charters, catamaran cruises, and private sunset sails . Several great ocean front restaurants in the marina have become the place to enjoy some world class sports fishing and be part of the international boating community that docks in Marina Pez Vela.

Waterfalls, ATV's, Hiking, Zip Lining, Manuel Antonio National Park, surfing, bird watching, jungle explorations are all part of the Manuel Antonio experience for the nature lover. Love, love, love the 727 Airplane! We love the history - I remember seeing the plane on tv years ago. The 727 is actually in the middle of a resort that gives you access to restaurants, bars and pools - resort staff were excellent.We can't give the stay a five star because the kitchenette is not really functional. We liked the full size refrigerator, but the kitchenette is limited to basically reheating leftovers. We like to rent homes via VRBO with kitchens so that we have more flexibility with meal planning. The toaster oven shown in the pictures is no longer part of the property.Despite the limitations in the kitchen, we would stay here again - but would be better able to plan our meals.

Amazing property in a beautiful location

We loved our stay here. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The view was simply stunning, and we were surrounded by wildlife. There were restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely recommend the property!

Amazing property

This must have been the most special place we’ve ever stayed and we made everlasting memories. The location and views are amazing. The bathtub on the patio makes it extra special to watch the sunset.

Spectacular stay

We stayed in this 727 with spectacular views of the ocean. The rooms were comfortable and we lacked for nothing. Staying here, with access to the resort’s pools, and many eateries nearby is a must. Pictures don’t do this justice.

Unforgettable Stay

This property is a must! It was absolutely amazing. The views are spectacular and pictures do not do it justice. It's such a fun place to stay and relax! The property has so many options for food and recreation. It is also a short walk or drive to the beach! I cannot wait to visit again.

Wow!

Such a unique property to stay at. Within one hour of checking in we had monkeys all over the deck. The views were fantastic as well. There was ample room for us inside and it was super clean and well maintained. Check-in was a breeze and the location was perfect - easy to get to restaurants, the pool and the beach. We would definitely stay here again!!

As advertised!

Really special property. My family and i will never forget our stay here. Wildlife was as advertised, there was a sloth on the tree right in front of our balcony. Monkeys came by every morning and evening. The location was excellent and easy to get to the beach and super easy to walk to nearby restaurants. Book it, you wont regret it!

Amazing Place to Stay

The Costa Verde 727 Airplane was incredible! The kids loved it. This hotel basically doubled as an attraction as the kids loved playing all around the plane. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen, sitting area with TV and a large deck overlooking the lush green trees and the ocean, this was almost more of an apartment than a hotel. Plus, there is a ton of stuff to do in the area. I highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a unique experience.

Amazing experience

Fantastic and unique stay. Just understand that it is part of a hotel and not separate like most vrbos. That comes with some perks though like room service and cleaning. The 727 was very comfortable and such a great experience. The balconies over the wings were great with nice rocking chairs and great views. Got to see monkeys right from our home a few times. Felt remote enough even though you're on the grounds of the costa verde hotel.

Monkeys galore!!

We had a great time! The grandchildren absolutely loved all of the wildlife. We had the pleasure of seeing 3 different types of monkeys all over the airplane and they loved feeding them bananas. There were lizards and one morning we saw a pair of macaws fly by. Must say that the walk to the beach and back is difficult really need a car. Very beautiful area and the weather was perfect 🌞

Amazing Experience

This was a very unique place to stay! We surprised our family with this place and everyone was so excited. We are a family of 6 and we had plenty of space. We loved sitting out on the deck and listening to and seeing all the wildlife, especially the monkeys and the sloth. We enjoyed walking around the trails on the property. El Avion was s fun place to eat and the kids loved the zip coaster that was near the main entrance. We felt safe the whole time and there were security guards stationed at entrance during the night. The staff was friendly and responsive. Wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night!

The best birthday present for my 5 years old son

We stayed in the Fuselage hotel for 2 nights only. But we will be always remember that experience. The plane and its location is amazing. We enjoyed sitting outside and looking at the sunset or drinking morning coffee on the over-the-wing terrace. My son didnt wanna get out of the cockpit, and my daughter enjoyed the shower in the back bathroom. The restaurants around ( El Wagon, El Avion and La Cantina) are awsome and also Baguette is great for little light breakfast before you head out to Manuel Antonia Park.

Amazing!

If you are a family with young kids and plan a trip to Manuel Antonio, this is the perfect spot. Our kids were thrilled to be staying in an airplane! It was even better that we could spot so much wildlife right from our balconies. We saw raccoons, toucans, lizards, hummingbirds, parrots, and best of all monkeys! One morning a gang of capuchins we're on our porch and one squirrel monkey watched on from a safe distance. It was monkey chaos, but so much fun. These will be memories for a lifetime! Thanks for the great accomodations and wonderful restaurants on site!

Wonderful experience

This is a unique place to stay that will bring memories back for years to come. A few things made the experience a little less than a full on 10. They could have been to have done more of the cockpit as now it is just two seats in the bathroom (maybe a sofa to enjoy the views). Also arriving the airplane was covered in plastic sheeting making it feel a little less pristine. Lastly it is situated in the middle of a resort which is different from the feel you get from the pictures. Overall though it is an place I can recommend to anyone looking for something unique and different.

Practically perfect in every way!

This was the perfect combination of comfort, convenience and unique adventure. My husband and I stayed in the airplane with our 3 teenagers and 9 year old son. The woodwork and accommodations are lovely and the views breathtaking. It’s a perfect location with easy access to restaurants and the beach. The grounds in the resort are beautiful and well kept. Our favorite was the morning visits from the capuchin and squirrel monkeys on the deck. Manuel Antonio park and beach didn’t live up to the hype for us but we loved the waves and fun environment of Espadilla beach. We also did an amazing parasailing ride from Espadilla beach and a fantastic zip line tour. The Costa Rican people are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back and can hopefully stay in the amazing airplane house again. Costa Rica won our hearts!

Great views and unique stay/expensive

It was a unique stay but not worth the high price point. It’s part of costa verde resort and you can use their pools and driver to get to their restaurants which was nice (and the food good, well priced and excellent service). There were some things that were listed on the VRBO listing that was a bit misleading: There was no laundry on site. (The listing said washer- and I planned to wash clothes but had to send out our laundry for quite a high price. There was no kayak or water sports gear as listed in the rental listing. Maybe to rent in the beach but we never saw that. There were tours you could go in at an additional cost. It said beach towels in the listing also and the staff were adamant you don’t take the towels to the beach.) The views however were amazing. The animals all around the resort (monkeys, sloth, raccoons) were fun to see. This is built in a hill and quite a walk to everywhere but manageable even with kids. The two pools were not busy and the beach was amazing (a very hilly walk to get there and back though). There were some maintenance issues with the plane that I mentioned upon checkout and hopefully will be addressed. I like being woken up to light streaming in so that was nice but if you want black out shades, keep this in mind.

Location, location! We spent two nights in this unique habitacion with our three kids. They’ll remember it forever! From the monkeys greeting us in the morning to our walks to the public Manuel Antonio beach, we had a blast.
